1 Palestinian killed, 9 injured in fresh Israeli attacks in Gaza despite ceasefire
One Palestinian was killed and nine others, including a mother and her two children, were injured Monday in fresh Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip amid continued violations of a ceasefire in effect since last October, medical sources said. The sources said a Palestinian man was killed and four people, including a mother and her two children, were injured in an Israeli strike in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. A Palestinian woman was also shot in the head when Israeli naval forces opened fire toward the coast of the Al-Sudaniya area in northwestern Gaza, according to the sources. A 6-year-old child was also shot in the chest by Israeli forces while in the Al-Atatra area in northwestern Gaza. The sources said two other Palestinians were wounded in an Israeli drone strike targeting pedestrians north of the Hamad area northwest of Khan Younis in. A Palestinian woman was injured by gunfire from an Israeli drone in the Al-Shamaa area of the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City, the sources said. Meanwhile, the Israeli army carried out artillery shelling on Bani Suheila east of Khan Younis, while an Israeli helicopter opened fire in the vicinity. In central Gaza, Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward residential homes southeast of Deir al-Balah and east of the Bureij refugee camp, according to local sources. In northern Gaza, the Israeli army carried out large-scale demolition operations targeting evacuated homes and buildings east of the Al-Tuffah neighborhood northeast of Gaza City. At least two large explosions caused by the demolitions were heard early Monday, with no injuries reported, witnesses said. Israeli warships also opened fire and shelled the Gaza City coastline, according to witnesses. The Israeli army has killed 1,454 Palestinians and injured 5,090 others since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. Since October 2023, Israel's war in Gaza has killed more than 74,000 Palestinians and injured over 175,000 others, according to Palestinian figures, also destroying about 90% of the enclave's infrastructure.
