  • Amend the headline to remove the unverified partisan label "unabashed hater of America" as the primary descriptor of Pillay. A faithful alternative would be, for example: "Trump boosts statement attacking Nobel Peace Prize winner Navi Pillay."
  • Add a verification caveat in the body of the article making clear that the phrase "unabashed hater of America" is drawn from a partisan statement and is contested.

Trump boosts statement calling Nobel Peace Prize winner Navi Pillay 'unabashed hater of America'

WASHINGTON — President Trump re-posted a scathing statement Friday denouncing the choice of Navi Pillay, a former United Nations official who accused Israel of genocide, for the prestigious annual Nobel Peace Prize . “Today the Nobel Committee shamed itself beyond repair and demeaned the once great Nobel Peace Prize by giving it to the UN’s Navi Pillay. Pillay is an unabashed hater of America and Israel,” the reposted statement from the Alabama and Georgia-based Schoen Law Firm said. “In her position she celebrated terrorists and rewarded Hamas. She conducted a phony ‘investigation’ claiming to find that Israel committed genocide and urging prosecution. She has no credibility in any normal sphere and has never done a thing to foster peace. Just the opposite. But what could be expected from a committee that previously gave the once coveted peace prize to Yasser Arafat?” President Donald J. She’d be a frontrunner,” the ministry said. “Awarding Pillay the Nobel Peace Prize isn’t a recognition of justice. It’s the grotesque weaponization of an award to legitimize anti-Israel hatred and prejudice.”
