A win. On 1 July 2026, CPJ’s board voted to affirm its definition of who is a journalist, anchored in international humanitarian law, the first thing this campaign demanded. The action window here has closed and no further emails will be sent. But the definition was only demand one: the chair who drove the change, the absence of Palestinian representation on the board, and an unreviewed methodology all remain.
