Ode targets deployment
Anthropic and Blackstone launched Ode, a $1.5 billion AI implementation company formed through a joint venture with Blackstone, Hellman & Friedman, Goldman Sachs, and others, with the stated focus on deploying AI into enterprise operations rather than building new models.
TechCrunch reported that Ode was launched in May as part of that joint venture, and that it employs 100 engineers while working closely with Anthropic’s applied AI team to identify where the tech can have an impact.

In the same TechCrunch account, Ode operates under a “Claude-first” principle, implementing Anthropic’s technology including features like Claude Tag in Slack whenever possible.
La Revue du Digital said the new company is an independent entity equipped with Anthropic’s engineering and partnership resources integrated into its team, with the aim of helping enterprises rapidly integrate Claude into core activities.
Backers and business model
TechCrunch described Ode’s origin as a response to a gap Blackstone saw when it roped in large consulting firms and small AI services boutiques to implement AI across its portfolio companies, and said the joint venture acquired Fractional AI shortly after it was announced.
TechCrunch also quoted Ode CEO Chris Taylor saying, "It’s pretty easy to imagine this as a trillion-dollar company someday if we execute well," while noting the company’s emphasis on maintaining quality during hyper growth.

In La Revue du Digital, Blackstone president and chief operating officer Jon Gray said, "We intend to create a large-scale, world-class company to deploy Anthropic’s exceptional technology," framing the effort as removing a barrier to enterprise AI adoption by increasing deployment partners.
La Revue du Digital further quoted Goldman Sachs’ Marc Nachmann saying the company will help portfolio networks accelerate AI adoption, with the line "By democratizing access to field-deployed engineers" used to describe the approach.
Quality, scale, and stakes
TechCrunch said Ode’s executives describe their team as elite generalist software engineers, with over half former founders, and it quoted Ode chief technologist Eddie Siegel on implementation quality, saying, "I think model selection matters, but it’s not where the majority of calories are spent."
In the same TechCrunch report, Siegel compared implementation to engineering a system, adding that it is "like the choice of programming language when you build a piece of software," and Taylor said the work targets the top one or two priority processes for a CEO.
Pluang reported that Anthropic launched Ode as a $1.5 billion AI implementation company formed through the joint venture, and it also stated that Williams Companies secured a $5.34 billion investment from Blackstone for AI-driven Power Innovation projects while retaining 51% ownership.
Crypto Briefing framed the launch as accelerating AI adoption by embedding engineers within enterprises and said market participants interpreted it as a positive impact on Anthropic’s valuation prospects, including a 91% YES likelihood for Anthropic’s valuation to hit $1.25 trillion by December 31.
