Bitfinex lists Bitcoin-treasury notes

Bitfinex Securities listed five tokenized notes on the Liquid Network that give eligible investors exposure to Strategy, Metaplanet, Sweden’s H100 Group and France’s Capital B, and it also listed Strategy’s variable-rate perpetual preferred stock, STRC. The notes were issued through ORO (II), a Luxembourg umbrella securitization fund managed by SICOS Securities, and Bitfinex said they are backed by underlying securities held with regulated financial institutions but do not give investors direct ownership of the corresponding company shares. Bitfinex said the products will trade against USD, Tether’s USDT and Bitcoin, and it described the launch as "the first tokenized securities of Bitcoin treasury companies available for secondary trading on a regulated tokenized securities exchange."

“Bitfinex Securities described the launch as the first time such products have been made available for secondary trading on a regulated tokenized securities exchange.”

Bitfinex also said fractional exposure is available from about $1, with investors able to use USD, USDT or Bitcoin, while availability is limited to eligible investors and excludes US persons. The platform said its listed assets now exceed $500 million, and it framed the listings as part of an expansion that would add further products including a gold yield fund and tokenized private credit notes tied to Bitcoin mining.

Strategy and Metaplanet moves

Separate Bitfinex reporting tied to Bitcoin treasury companies said Strategy resumed its bitcoin purchases after a two-month pause, acquiring 4,603 BTC for $369.7 million at an average price of $80,318 per unit. The same coverage said Metaplanet executed a $188M Bitcoin transfer to Coinbase in just three hours on August 31, using six deposits ranging from 103 to 6,948 BTC. Bitfinex also said a two-week pause in Strategy’s bitcoin sales removed a key headwind in market sentiment after offloading 6,948 BTC between May and August.

In the same set of notes, Bitfinex said Metaplanet transferred 1,350 BTC to Coinbase Prime Custody, and it pointed to early recovery as MTPLF showed movement after the transfer. Bitfinex’s broader market framing in the same material put Bitcoin above the key $77,100 support level while citing hawkish comments from the Fed chair at Jackson Hole.

The same report said BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) led Monday’s rebound with $205.9 million in net inflows, accounting for about 95% of the category’s daily total, citing Farside Investors. LCX Exchange also said Ether ETFs extended their inflow streak to 11 trading sessions, while XRP and Solana funds each recorded a 10th consecutive positive session.

Against that backdrop, Bitfinex’s tokenized securities listings positioned tokenized equity exposure as a new secondary-market route, with Bitfinex saying the addition of equity-backed products was intended to broaden the market and improve secondary-market liquidity. Bitfinex’s materials also tied the listings to regulated issuance and trading controls, saying the products are regulated by El Salvador’s Comisión Nacional de Activos Digitales and issued on the Liquid Network.
