Blueprint adds Coinbase Prime

Blueprint Infrastructure integrated the full Coinbase Prime suite for funds, bringing custody, trading, staking, and transfer/rebalancing tools into a single platform for institutional allocators. The integration separates vault holdings from trading balances, and internal transfers between those pools are automatically recognized as rebalancing activities rather than taxable events. Blueprint said P&L allocation happens at the strategy level, so performance of each strategy gets its own clean reporting line across multiple strategies and asset classes.

For staking, rewards earned through staking are organized into individual tax lots, with each reward getting its own cost basis and holding period. The Coinbase Institutional framing in Crypto Briefing emphasized that the fundamental problem for institutional crypto allocators has been operational infrastructure, not access to assets.

Pi token drops after v27

Pi Network’s native token PI dropped nearly 14% to around $0.0808 after the launch of the Protocol v27 upgrade on Mainnet on September 15.

The Protocol v27 update added new tools for smart contracts and decentralized apps, including more flexible smart contract authentication and infrastructure for automated market maker (AMM) liquidity pools and Pi’s planned decentralized exchange.

Despite the upgrade, PI’s price moved lower, and Crypto Briefing’s account tied the sell-off to heavy selling in the broader crypto market following the CLARITY Act’s failure to advance in the U.S. Senate.

The same report described a “sell-the-news” reaction, saying traders who bought PI ahead of the upgrade may have sold after the event, with PI falling about 14% to near $0.0822.

It also cited 45.1 million trading volume during the latest drop and set immediate support around $0.080 and a level PI needs to reclaim at $0.0908.

Anchorage custody expands to Etherlink

Anchorage Digital Bank added custody support for Etherlink and seven assets on the Tezos layer-2 network, including xU3O8, a token representing physical uranium. The integration lets Anchorage’s institutional clients custody Etherlink-issued assets through segregated accounts at the federally chartered bank, with xU3O8 representing ownership of physical uranium without directly handling or storing it. Cointelegraph reported that xU3O8 has a market cap just above $9 million at current price levels, citing CoinMarketCap data.

FinanceFeeds described xU3O8 as fractional ownership of physical uranium oxide, commonly known as U3O8 or yellowcake, with the underlying uranium held in regulated storage facilities operated by Cameco. Anchorage said tokenization allows the commodity to be transferred and settled in minutes rather than weeks, and it noted that Hex Trust integrated Etherlink in August 2025 to offer custody for xU3O8 and other assets.
