Ukrainian officials, meanwhile, expressed skepticism about Putin’s intentions, with Kyrylo Tymoshenko telling reporters on Friday that Putin ordered the Russian military to prepare several operational scenarios for an attack in northern Ukraine, including around Kyiv and Chernihiv.
