Qusra siege, injuries
Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank intensified across seven areas, with Qusra south of Nablus topping the scene as three Palestinian families remained under siege for day 21.

In Qusra, dozens of settlers attacked a Palestinian home in the Ras al-Ain area, fired tear gas and pelted it with stones, causing 7 Palestinians to suffocate and sustain bruises, while the Israeli army protected the besiegers.
The Al-Jazeera Net account said the Israeli army declared the area a closed military zone as settlers continued to besiege 3 houses in the village for the 21st day in a row.
In parallel, Al-Jazeera Net reported that Israeli forces entered Qusra after the attack and that ambulances moved to the area to monitor injuries, while fires broke out in wooded areas on Jabal Ras al-Ain alongside tear gas launches.
The same account said Palestinian Red Crescent reported that settlers attacked an ambulance attempting to reach a besieged home in Qusra.
Suffocating siege warnings
Palestine’s Foreign Ministry warned that Israel imposed “a suffocating siege” on the West Bank town of Al-Mughayyir for the past 20 days, sealing off its entrance gates and allowing residents only two hours a day for movement.
Anadolu Ajansı quoted the ministry saying Israel’s measures include banning the entry of ambulances into the town amid “indiscriminate targeting” of citizens.
The Anadolu Ajansı account also said the ministry warned the escalating attacks by the army and occupiers aim to isolate the area and displace its residents, and called for international action beyond “mere verbal condemnation.”
TRT World echoed the same framing, warning that “These Israeli actions are an attempt to isolate and besiege the town militarily and economically and displace its residents,” while saying the siege has lasted “for the past 20 days.”
TRT World further reported that on Friday, three Palestinians were wounded in a settlers’ attack in Al-Mughayyir and that Israeli forces and illegal Israeli settlers held an ambulance en route to transport the wounded.
Arrests, injuries, and stakes
As the escalation spread, Al Jazeera reported that more than 50 Israeli settlers stormed Qusra, attacking Palestinian residents, damaging homes, and setting fire to agricultural land.

Al Jazeera said Israeli forces later arrested six Palestinians, harassed and questioned them before releasing them nearby, tying the arrests directly to the settler violence in the occupied West Bank.
In the same broader pattern of raids and settler attacks, Al-Talfaziyun Al-Arabi reported that two Palestinians were injured, including a child, by live ammunition from Israeli forces during their raid on the Am’ari refugee camp in al-Bireh, with the Palestinian Red Crescent saying its crews treated two people shot with live bullets.
Jerusalem Post described a separate incident in al-Mughir northeast of Ramallah where two civilians were injured by gunfire in an attack carried out by groups of settlers under direct protection from the Israeli army.
Jerusalem Post also said occupation forces and settlers deliberately blocked ambulances belonging to the Red Crescent from reaching the wounded in al-Mughir, while the institute “Badan al-Muqawama al-Jidar wa al-Istitiyan” documented 900 fires from the beginning of 2023 to mid-July 2026.
