Dune’s real-time feeds

Dune launched real-time market data feeds covering more than 200 onchain trading venues across 12 blockchains, delivering spot trade data roughly one second after execution. Dune said the feeds include spot trading across decentralized exchanges and perpetual futures trading on Hyperliquid and Lighter, with standardized fields for prices, trade sizes, and transaction details.

Dune co-founder and CEO Fredrik Haga said, "Most institutions are watching onchain markets first, because they can’t price these assets properly without them anymore," as the company positioned the service for institutional workflows. Dune also tied the rollout to tokenized market growth, saying its new feeds aim to bring onchain trading data into the trading systems used by traditional financial institutions.

Institutional clients, SEC shift

Dune said quant funds, market makers, asset managers, and bank trading desks are among the first clients using the service, while Fredrik Haga declined to identify them citing nondisclosure agreements. Dune linked the expansion to a Securities and Exchange Commission five-year exemption that lets certain venues trade tokenized versions of U.S.-listed stocks without registering as exchanges.

Dune said OKXICE, the joint venture between OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, notified the SEC of plans to launch a tokenized securities trading venue under the innovation exemption. Dune added that OKXICE filed to list 63 tokenized stocks on X Layer, and Dune framed the feeds as including "rich reference data" so trading teams can see which instruments trade where and at what prices.

Tokenized stocks, fragmentation

Dune’s launch arrived as disputes and fragmentation continued to shape tokenized markets, with Cointelegraph describing objections from publicly traded companies to having their shares included in OKXICE’s proposed platform. Cointelegraph said 16 companies, including Microsoft, Alphabet and Goldman Sachs, filed objections, while the filings did not specify their reasons.

Tiger Research director Ryan Yoon warned that trading the same tokenized stocks across multiple blockchain platforms could create price discrepancies, increase slippage and reduce market efficiency. RWA.xyz data cited by Cointelegraph put the distributed value of tokenized stocks at $3.58 billion, up from about $627 million a year earlier, a roughly 470% increase as Dune expanded its real-time coverage.
