The opening ceremony included a documentary on the airshow, a tour of the exhibition halls, and aerial shows by the Egyptian Air Force and teams from Russia, Spain, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, France and India.

The Egyptian Tourism and Antiquities Ministry said its pavilion at the second El Alamein International Airshow and Space Exhibition runs through September 10, and it features a miniature model of several halls at the Grand Egyptian Museum including replicas of artefacts from the collection of ancient Egyptian King Tutankhamun.
Egyptian Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy said the ministry’s participation aimed to introduce visitors and participants to Egypt’s ancient civilisation and archaeological treasures under the slogan “Egypt… unmatched diversity.”
Airlines Announce Deals
At the El Alamein Airshow, Air Cairo placed a firm order for 15 Airbus A320neo aircraft, described as the Egyptian carrier’s first direct purchase from the European manufacturer.
AeroXplorer said the airline announced the agreement at the El Alamein Airshow and positioned the deal as a cornerstone of a decade-long expansion strategy, with Air Cairo outlining plans to operate 130 aircraft by 2034.

The Global Times reported that aircraft were on display at the El Alamein International Airshow at El Alamein International Airport in El Dabaa, Egypt, on Sept. 8, 2026, as El-Sisi inaugurated the second edition.
AeroXplorer also said the order represents a shift for the Cairo-based operator, which historically built its fleet through leasing arrangements rather than direct manufacturer purchases.
