Ceasefire, but strikes
Palestine Chronicle reports that Hamas political bureau head Khalil al-Hayya called on mediators guaranteeing the Gaza ceasefire to take immediate action to stop what he described as Israel’s ongoing violations and compel it to fulfill its commitments.
In the same account, al-Hayya accused Israel of deliberately escalating “crimes and bloody violations” and said Israeli actions have affected every aspect of life in the Gaza Strip, including preventing the entry of food, medicine, and other essential supplies.
NBC News said Israel has been stepping up deadly strikes and digging in to entrench its control over more than half of the Palestinian enclave despite a ceasefire in Gaza.
Al Jazeera reported that the Gaza Ministry of Interior announced the martyrdom of Brig. Gen. Abdul Nasser Muhammad Al-Muqaddama (54) after he was targeted by an Israeli drone in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood northwest of Gaza City.
Anadolu Ajansı said Israeli ceasefire violations have killed 1,191 Palestinians and wounded 3,853 since October 2025, and it described Saturday attacks that included the killing of al-Maqadma and at least 14 others wounded.
Police targeted, deaths tally
Al Jazeera said Israel is intensifying its targeting of the pillars of police work in the Strip and quoted the Gaza Ministry of Interior calling it a crime that “represents the occupation's persistence in targeting the pillars of police work, with the aim of spreading chaos in the Gaza Strip.”
The same Al Jazeera report said sources in Gaza’s hospitals confirmed seven dead and more than 20 wounded by Israeli forces in the Strip since Saturday morning.
In Sky News Arabia’s account, the Hamas-affiliated Interior Ministry said an Israeli airstrike killed Abdul Nasser Muhammad al-Muqadama, the police chief of the North Gaza Governorate, in the Sheikh Radwan area north of Gaza City.
Sky News Arabia also said these deaths raised the death toll to more than 1,180 Palestinians, most of them civilians, since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas fighters went into effect in October.
Anadolu Ajansı described the killing as an Israeli drone striking a bicycle near the Al-Ghazali intersection in Sheikh Radwan, killing al-Maqadma and wounding several others.
Humanitarian collapse and governance
Palestine Chronicle reported that Raed al-Dahshan, director of Civil Defense in Gaza, said emergency response capacity in Gaza Governorate has fallen to just 25 percent because of the closure of one Civil Defense center, broken emergency vehicles, and severe shortages of equipment and spare parts.
The same report said al-Dahshan warned that rescue teams are increasingly unable to respond to simultaneous emergencies and that crews have at times been forced to work “with their bare hands” because of equipment shortages.
France Palestine Solidarité said Israeli bombardment after ordering evacuations killed at least two people, and it quoted Al Jazeera journalist Ibrahim al-Khalili saying the Israeli army heavily bombarded Gaza after threatening to evacuate residents from four different areas.
i24NEWS reported that Egypt is working with the United States and several regional partners to accelerate the deployment of an International Stabilization Force (ISF) in the Gaza Strip to avoid a collapse of the ceasefire and prepare the post-war governance framework.
Palestine Chronicle also said 1.4 million Palestinians in Gaza face acute food insecurity, and it cited a warning that Gaza’s emergency response system is rapidly deteriorating while Israeli actions continue to restrict the entry of humanitarian aid, heavy machinery, and essential logistical equipment.
