The Government of India released USD 2.5 million to the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), according to the Representative Office of India to Palestine.

WAFA said the contribution was provided as part of India’s annual contribution of US $5 million for the year 2026-27 to support UNRWA’s core programmes and services, including education, healthcare and relief efforts provided to Palestinian refugees.

WAFA reported that during her participation at the UNRWA ADCOM meeting held today in Amman, Representative of India to the State of Palestine Mahima Sikand underlined India’s continued support for the Agency’s services to Palestinian refugees.

WAFA added that Sikand handed over the contribution to the Agency’s Director of Partnerships, Karim Amer, at the meeting in Amman.
