Bridge Strike Claims
Iran urged the UN Human Rights Office to condemn what it called ongoing US military aggression and alleged international law violations, with the Islamic Republic News Agency reporting Tehran was pressing the UN human rights body to address alleged violations stemming from recent American strikes and naval operations in the region.
The Gulf News report said reports circulating on social media and regional monitoring accounts claimed a US military strike destroyed a key road bridge near Bandar Abbas, severing a major transportation link across the Shur River, with the reports claiming the bridge collapsed into the river after being struck.

Gulf News added that at least two people were reportedly killed and four others injured, and that as of early Friday neither the US nor Iranian authorities had officially confirmed the strike, the reported casualties, or the extent of the damage.
In parallel, the same report said Iranian state media reported late early on Friday that a location near Iranshahr in southeastern Iran was struck by what it described as an “American enemy projectile,” with IRNA stating preliminary assessments were underway and further details would be released.
Gulf News also described Bandar Abbas as Iran's principal commercial port and home to the headquarters of the Iranian Navy, and said the city sits on the strategic Strait of Hormuz, through which roughly one-fifth of the world's oil supply passes.
Retaliation and Wider Attacks
NorNews said the fifth consecutive night of U.S. aggression against Iran included attacks on sites in Hormozgan Province and CENTCOM’s official declaration of the start of a new wave of operations, and it quoted a senior spokesperson of the Armed Forces warning that any damage to Iran’s infrastructure would be answered by targeting all regional infrastructure.
NorNews claimed Iran struck targets in Kuwait, Jordan, Syria, Bahrain, and Qatar, and said the Jordanian army confirmed Iran’s missile strike on soil of this country.

NorNews also reported that Kuwait’s Ministry of Water and Electricity said a power plant and a water-desalination facility in Kuwait were set on fire in the Iranian attack, and that firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze.
In the same account, NorNews said the IRGC announced in statements that it would deliver crushing responses to the United States, and it described an IRGC aerospace force attack on the U.S. air base in Al-Udeid, Qatar, in Wave 15 of Nasr 2.
NorNews further asserted that in response to last night’s malice by the U.S. Army from its bases in Jordan, IRGC Public Relations release No. 22 said American fighters and refueling aircraft stationed in Jordan were targeted in two stages with several ballistic missiles and multiple drones.
Southern Iran Damage Claims
ABNA said several Iranian citizens were martyred and a number of others injured in American airstrikes on Thursday evening and Friday dawn, targeting residential areas, bridges, roads, a railway station, and a power line in southern Iran.
ABNA reported that two martyrs and four wounded were the casualties of the American attack on the Bandar Abbas–Khmir axis bridges, and it said the Public Relations Department of Hormozgan Province announced the United States targeted the "Kohoristan" and "Ghriyeh" bridges on vital corridors.
ABNA also said the Bandar Abbas–Khmir–Lar road is completely closed, and the "Kashar" road leading to Kohoristan was closed until further notice, while it added that ambulance teams, the police, and military forces were on site for rescue and relief operations.
The East Media Group account said the Hormozgan Governorate announced that at 21:35, points in Bandar Abbas were struck by enemy American projectiles, and it reported that Tasnim also said the Allah Akbar Hill in Bandar Abbas was attacked again by the enemy.
East Media Group added that the scale of the incident was such that the power in the Bandar Abbas area is currently out, and it said the target of the strike in this attack was a telecommunications tower.
