Islamic Resistance Targets Israeli Vehicles and Merkava Tank in Southern Lebanon and Occupied Palestine

The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon said it targeted two concentrations of Israeli enemy army vehicles and a Merkava tank in the south and occupied territories, framing the actions as a response to Israeli violations of a ceasefire and attacks on southern villages that resulted in civilian martyrs and wounded.

In statement No. 36, it said its fighters targeted at 06:00 on Monday, June 1, 2026, a concentration of Israeli enemy army vehicles in the Ma'alot Tarshiha settlement in northern occupied Palestine with a rocket salvo.

In statement No. 38, it said its fighters targeted at 17:00 on Monday, June 1, 2026, a Merkava tank on the eastern outskirts of the town of Yahmar al-Shqif with an Ababil loitering drone, achieving a confirmed hit.

A separate report from Al-Manar TV Lebanon described an Islamic Resistance strike on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 22:30, targeting a gathering of vehicles and soldiers of the Israeli enemy army on the southern outskirts of the town of Yohmor Al-Shaqif in southern Lebanon with a barrage of rockets.

Chronique de Palestine, citing a report by Al-Mayadeen and referencing the Financial Times, said Hezbollah has resumed operations along the Lebanese border and continues to pose a permanent military challenge to Israeli forces.

It reported that Israeli officials acknowledged a “gap” between their conclusions about the 2024 war and the fact that they “find ourselves again facing Hezbollah,” quoting Rafi Milo, head of the army's northern command.

The same account said Hezbollah's military media released footage showing the Islamic Resistance attacking, with the aid of a drone, an Israeli army armored personnel carrier in the city of Qantara, in southern Lebanon, on Friday, April 24, 2026.

It also quoted an Israeli military official describing the shift in tactics as: "Hezbollah has returned to what it was before: a guerrilla force that tries to strike when it can, using hit-and-run tactics."

قناة نبأ الفضائية said the Islamic Resistance conducted “41 operations” targeting sites, gatherings, and vehicles belonging to the Israeli occupation army in response to violations of the ceasefire and ongoing attacks on villages and civilians in southern Lebanon.

Within that sequence, it described an interception of an Israeli Hermes 450 – Zeek type drone in Bekaa airspace with a surface-to-air missile and also listed multiple strikes on locations including Kiryat Shmona, al-Qantara, Dibin, and Yahmor al-Shqif.

The same report stated that fighters targeted a Merkava tank in Yahmor al-Shqif with an Ababil diving drone at 17:00 and later described detonating explosive devices on two military armored vehicles and disabling them at 20:50.

Across the accounts, the Lebanese resistance repeatedly tied its actions to ceasefire violations and attacks on villages and civilians, while the Al-Manar TV Lebanon item continued to describe confirmed hits from loitering drones and rocket barrages in southern Lebanon.
