Anadolu Ajansı reported that Israeli drone strikes hit Nabatieh and Bint Jbeil as military demolition operations continued, including a drone strike near Ghandour Hospital in Nabatieh al-Fawqa and an airstrike on Braashit in Bint Jbeil district.

Anadolu Ajansı also said Israeli forces carried out violent demolition operations targeting several homes in Hadatha, while another large explosion was reported near Kounine and Tayri in the same district.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that Israeli attacks have killed at least 4,298 people since March 2, and Anadolu Ajansı put the wounded at 12,196.

Health workers killed

News On AIR said an Israeli strike on a health centre killed 12 medical workers in the village of Burj Qalaouiyah in the Bint Jbeil District, killing doctors, paramedics and nurses who were on duty.

The same source said Lebanon’s Health Ministry described it as the second attack on the health sector within hours after another Israeli strike on Souaneh killed two paramedics when it hit a paramedic centre.

In a separate account, Al Jazeera net reported that Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said the framework formula does not legalize the continuation of the Israeli occupation, but instead stipulates enabling the Lebanese army to extend its control over the entire Lebanese territory, especially in the south after the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

Al Jazeera net added that the Israeli army stated its forces were continuing operations inside what it described as the 'security zone' in Lebanon to remove threats.

News On AIR also reported that Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem asserted that his organisation is prepared for a long confrontation with Israel, describing the situation as an existential battle.

Toll, funerals, and disputes

L'Orient Today said the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported that Israeli attacks have killed at least 4,298 people since March 2, and it described funerals expected for several Hezbollah fighters, including ten to be buried in Touline, Marjayoun, and another in Ainata, Sour.

L'Orient Today also reported that the municipality of Nabatieh denied false information on social media and WhatsApp groups claiming that the bodies of four people were buried under the rubble of the Bank of Lebanon (BDL, Central Bank) branch in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, which was bombed by the Israeli army on June 20.

Anadolu Ajansı said the framework agreement signed on June 26 provides for a phased Israeli withdrawal beginning with two unspecified pilot zones, but it does not set a timetable and links withdrawal to the Lebanese army assuming full and effective security responsibility alongside disarmament of non-state armed groups, particularly Hezbollah.

Al Jazeera net reported that Hezbollah rejected the deal as “non-existent” and “humiliating,” saying any attempt to link Israeli withdrawal to the group’s disarmament crosses “red lines.”

L'Orient Today added that Shiite Amal-Hezbollah ministers Rakan Nasreddine, Mohammad Haidar and Tamara Zein expressed reservations about the agreement during a cabinet meeting, while President Joseph Aoun defended the negotiations and said he would not yield "a single inch of Lebanese territory."
