Four killed in Gaza
Israeli air attacks and gunfire killed at least four Palestinians in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, including a couple and a 17-year-old, health officials said. An Israeli air strike killed Akram Yassin and his wife Dina Abu Baker in an apartment in Gaza City, medics said. In Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, a 17-year-old boy was killed by Israeli gunfire near the Qizan an-Najjar neighbourhood, and another person was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Zeitoun suburb east of Gaza City.
Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum reported from Deir el-Balah that there had been a surge in Israeli attacks across Gaza overnight and into the early hours of Tuesday, with attacks concentrated on Gaza City. Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum said, “We are seeing very distressing scenes, and footage coming from the site of the attack shows the scale of destruction that has been inflicted upon the whole residential area.”

Cease-fire violations disputed
Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip early Tuesday killed five Palestinians, including a married couple and two children, while injured nine others, and it linked the deaths to “continued Israeli violations of a cease-fire agreement in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.”
An Israeli airstrike killed Akram Yassin and his wife Dina Abu Baker in an apartment in Gaza City, and it said the couple's bodies and four injured Palestinians arrived at al-Shifa Hospital.

Mahmoud Yassin, whose brother was killed, told Reuters that “We’re supposed to be in a ceasefire period, but honestly, we are not seeing a ceasefire or anything.”
Hamas “strongly slammed the new Israeli attacks,” and it quoted Hamas warning that the attacks were a “flagrant and recurring violation of the ceasefire agreement.”
Hamas called on mediators and guarantor states to pressure Israel to halt its attacks, respect the ceasefire agreement, and allow the unrestricted entry of aid and essential goods.
Wider toll and damage
Israel’s “genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza” has killed at least 74,480 people since October 2023, with another 175,539 wounded, according to the Gaza health authorities. Since the so-called “ceasefire” in October 2025, 1,522 Palestinians have been killed and 5,421 wounded in Israeli attacks, and it said 839 bodies have been recovered from under the rubble. About 82 percent of structures in Gaza, roughly 200,000 buildings, have been damaged, with about two-thirds of them destroyed since the start of the war, according to the United Nations.
Israeli violations of the cease-fire agreement had killed 1,522 Palestinians and injured 5,421 others as of Monday, according to the latest figures from Gaza's Health Ministry. Since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 74,400 Palestinians, injured over 175,000 others and damaged or destroyed around 90% of the enclave's civilian infrastructure during its war on Gaza.
