Injuries in multiple strikes
Israeli attacks injured five Palestinians, including a woman, across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, with four Palestinians hurt in a northern strike and one woman shot in the back in the south. Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that an Israeli airstrike targeted a civilian gathering in northern Gaza, and eyewitnesses said a drone fired a missile into a gathering in the Bir al-Naajah area west of Jabalya. In Khan Younis, a medical source at Nasser Medical Complex said a Palestinian woman was shot in the back by Israeli fire while she was at the Qat Camp east of the Hamad City residential complex.
Eyewitnesses said Israeli military vehicles opened heavy fire toward southern Khan Younis and toward the al-Shakoush area west of Rafah, while Israeli artillery fired shells toward the eastern areas of Gaza City with no injuries reported. Gaza’s Health Ministry said that since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, at least 1,610 Palestinians have been killed and another 5,819 injured.
Ceasefire violations and aid
Israeli attacks continued across northern and southern Gaza on Sunday despite the ceasefire, and Anadolu described them as daily violations of last year’s ceasefire agreement. Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem said Israel continues to tighten its siege on Gaza and to block the entry of relief aid and shelter supplies despite the ceasefire, and he said this was worsening the humanitarian catastrophe. EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib called for greater humanitarian access to the enclave, writing on X, "In Gaza, families are bailing water out of their tents with pots and pans."
TRT World said winter storms flooded displacement camps, and Gaza’s Government Media Office said the storms flooded approximately 70,000 tents sheltering displaced Palestinians. TRT World reported that UNRWA said about 1.98 million people in Gaza needed shelter and other essential supplies ahead of winter.
What comes next
TRT World said floods and shortages of emergency equipment complicated relief operations after storms began late Friday, and it described Israel’s blockade as continuing to restrict the entry of shelter items. Hadja Lahbib urged greater humanitarian access to the enclave, and she wrote, "They need more aid to get in, now," as aid organizations continued their work despite the storm. Hamas called on mediating countries and their leaders to take urgent action to pressure all parties, prevent the crisis from deepening, and compel Israel to implement the ceasefire agreement.
Anadolu Ajansı said Israeli artillery also shelled areas east of Gaza City with no injuries reported, while eyewitnesses described heavy fire toward southern Khan Younis and the al-Shakoush area west of Rafah. Gaza’s Health Ministry figures remained central across the accounts, with Anadolu and TRT World both citing the same totals of 1,610 Palestinians killed and 5,819 injured since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025.
