Ynetnews said the pair failed to board their scheduled flight from Prague back to Israel and that overnight searches in Vienna produced no breakthrough, with the apartment later found empty.

Haaretz reported that the phones of the missing mother and daughter were last located near Vienna's main train station that morning, as Israeli and Austrian authorities stepped up efforts to locate them.

Leads, agencies, and quotes

Ynetnews reported that phone-location data reviewed by police in Israel and Austria indicates Mali and Liel were last seen during Saturday in the area of a Vienna train station and a nearby public park, and that their relatives filed a missing-person report Sunday at the Modi’in police station.

A senior Israeli police officer who also works with Europol was dispatched to Vienna to assist the search, while Ynetnews quoted an Israeli official saying, "The whole world is on its feet trying to find them."

VINnews said investigators have yet to uncover any significant lead, quoting Chabad emissary Reuven Timsit as saying, "Unfortunately, there is still no clue."

VINnews also described family members’ last contact, with Amir Rudnik recalling that on Friday just before Shabbat the family group chat received the message, "We’ve arrived at the apartment. Look what a cool place this is. Shabbat Shalom, everyone."

Search stakes and next steps

The Israeli Embassy in Vienna told the public to contact the embassy’s emergency hotline at +43 676 3672304 or local police, and the Jewish Chronicle reported that the embassy said all contacts would be kept confidential.

Ynetnews said the Shin Bet and Mossad are not currently involved, while it reported that at the family’s request the Israeli search and rescue company Magnus joined efforts to locate the pair.

VINnews reported that the Israeli consul in Vienna began coordinating the search by Monday morning and that the consul was in direct contact with family member Elinor, who said, "At this point, there is still no lead that could help locate them."

Israel National News quoted Rabbi Reuven Timsit saying that at the Chabad House in Vienna over 400 travelers registered for Shabbat meals but the names of Mali and Liel did not appear on the lists, and that they also do not appear on the Chabad House's security cameras.
