Arrests in Al Mughayyir
Israeli forces arrested two Palestinian child brothers from the village of Al Mughayyir northeast of Ramallah on Saturday, after storming their home and closing the western entrance to the village, according to Marzouk Abu Naim, the deputy head of the Al Mughayyir village council.
Al Jazeera reported that video footage showed Israeli soldiers forcing two siblings to sit on the ground with their hands behind their heads beside a military jeep, before blindfolding one of them and arresting both children during a raid on al-Mughayyir village.

The Saba report said the brothers were aged 13 and 15, and added that settlers stormed the western plain area of Al Mughayyir.
In Salfit, Saba also said Israeli forces arrested a Palestinian citizen from the town of Bruqin west of Salfit while he was in the town of Deir Balut west of the province.
UN condemns settler attacks
Antonio Guterres, the UN Secretary-General, condemned what his spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric described as the “nearly daily” attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinians and their property in the occupied West Bank.
Dujarric said the attacks had become increasingly serious, “causing deaths, injuries and significant material damage,” and in some cases had led to the displacement of entire communities.

Anadolu Ajansı also reported that since the start of Israel's war against Gaza on October 8, 2023, attacks by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank have killed 1,133 Palestinians, wounded about 11,700 others, and led to the arrest of about 22,000 people.
For February alone, Anadolu Ajansı said Israeli settlers conducted 511 attacks across the West Bank, killing seven Palestinians by gunfire, according to official Palestinian figures.
Escalation and wider impact
In the West Bank, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that Yousef Ali Yousef Kaabneh, 16, was killed by Israeli forces' gunfire near the town of Jiljilia north of Ramallah, and it came shortly after the Palestinian Red Crescent Society announced it transported a child in critical condition shot with live rounds in the chest during a settlers' attack.
The Red Crescent Society also said it transported three more injured to the hospital, two by gunfire and the third from a beating, as Al Jazeera described raids and arrests across multiple areas in the occupied West Bank.
Al Jazeera further reported that Israeli forces raided Silat al-Duhur Secondary School south of Jenin and removed the Palestinian flag, while local sources said forces arrested a 15-year-old boy after raiding and searching his parents' home in the village of Deir Ibzi west of Ramallah.
The same Al Jazeera report said the raids were coming as the Nakba anniversary of 1948 approaches, and it described the West Bank as witnessing an unprecedented rise in settlement activity and displacement.
