Detentions in Beit Ummar
Israeli forces detained three Palestinians from Beit Ummar, north of Hebron, on Wednesday, according to the WAFA news agency and a media activist cited by WAFA.

WAFA said the three men, aged 37, 19, and 18, were detained in Khallet al-Kataleh, south of Beit Ummar, while they were tending their farmlands near the Karmei Tzur colony.
Middle East Eye reported that Israeli forces earlier detained at least seven other Palestinians in raids across the occupied West Bank, including areas near Jenin, Ramallah and Tulkarm.
WAFA identified one of the seven detainees as a resident of al-Yamun town, west of Jenin, and another as a villager of Silat al-Harithiya, northwest of the city, while also naming Mohammad Awad, a journalist from Beitunia city, west of Ramallah.
Prison conditions and restrictions
Arab News reported that the Commission for Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs said living and humanitarian conditions for Palestinian prisoners from the Gaza Strip in Jenin (Janot) prison continue to deteriorate severely amid punitive measures, restrictions, and deprivation of basic necessities.
The commission said prison authorities allow the washing machine to be used only once every 12 to 14 days, while underwear and outer clothing are also often not replaced.
Arab News added that the commission said prisoners are subjected to continued beatings and repression, while adequate healthcare and basic personal necessities are not provided, and it described severe overcrowding with some rooms housing 12 prisoners but containing only 10 beds.
The commission renewed its call on international and humanitarian institutions, particularly the International Committee of the Red Cross, to assume their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and take urgent action to halt violations against Palestinian prisoners.
Administrative detention and numbers
WAFA said the occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for “wanted” Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

WAFA also stated that under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank, while Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
WAFA cited Addameer figures saying there are currently 9,300 Palestinian political prisoners in Israeli prisons and detention centers, including 350 child prisoners and 56 female prisoners.
WAFA further said the number includes 3,358 Palestinians placed under “administrative detention”, which allows detention without charge or trial for renewable intervals ranging between three and six months based on undisclosed evidence.
