Shelling near Khan Younis

Israeli artillery targeted south of Khan Younis in Gaza, according to Al-Manar TV Lebanon’s live updates on Friday, 18/09/2026. In the same period, Gaza - Saba reported that Israeli forces continued violations of the “Gaza Truce” through artillery shelling, gunfire, and intensive drone flights, resulting in the “martyrdom of one Palestinian and the injury of two citizens near the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis.” Saba also said a pregnant woman was injured by enemy gunfire at the Ard Al-Hilou displacement camp in Nuseirat Camp and was transferred to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat.

The Palestinian Information Center, meanwhile, said Israeli occupation forces breached the ceasefire agreement for the 344th day in a row through bombardment and gunfire, including a strike on a motorcycle in the Al-Taqwa camp in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood west of Gaza City that killed Hudayfah Awwad and left others wounded, including a child in critical condition. The Palestinian Information Center added that medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital confirmed Hudayfah Awwad’s death and the arrival of several injured, including a child in critical condition, at the hospital.

Ceasefire breaches and deaths

The Palestinian Information Center described the ceasefire breach as continuing through bombardment and gunfire against scattered areas of the enclave, saying a citizen was martyred and others were wounded when Israeli occupation forces bombed a motorcycle in the Al-Taqwa camp in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood west of Gaza City. It said medical sources reported the martyrdom of Karam Masad Al-Masarra’a after he was injured by Israeli army fire on Julis Street in the Nizrat camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, while Israeli tanks opened fire densely northeast of Khan Younis and south of it in coordination with volley fire from Israeli helicopter gunships east and south of the city. In a separate account, IMEMC News said Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the “ceasefire” agreement in the Gaza Strip on Thursday for the 343rd consecutive day, with shelling and opening fire on various areas of the coastal enclave.

IMEMC News also reported that hospitals recorded five Palestinian deaths—three newly killed and two who succumbed to earlier wounds—and 28 new injuries during the past 24 hours, and that 831 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble. The same IMEMC News report said the totals since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, were 1,386 Palestinians killed and 4,784 injured, and that the cumulative toll since October 7, 2023, had reached at least 73,821 Palestinians killed and more than 174,897 injured.
