Motorcycle strike kills

An Israeli strike on a motorcycle killed one Palestinian and injured others in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood, west of Gaza City, with one child in critical condition, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency. The same Al Jazeera report says ongoing Israeli strikes on the besieged enclave have killed at least 1,381 people since a United States-brokered “ceasefire” between Israel and Hamas was announced in October 2025.

Al Jazeera also reports that on Friday the Israeli army opened fire in the Nuseirat and al-Bureij refugee camps in the central Gaza Strip, with attacks on tents sheltering displaced people resulting in multiple injuries. Earlier this week, Al Jazeera says an Israeli “double-tap” air strike killed a paramedic and a 15-year-old schoolboy in Gaza City, and it adds that Israeli forces claimed they were targeting Hamas operatives.

Child among three dead

Al Jazeera reports that at least three Palestinians, including a child and the son of a Health Ministry official, were killed in Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip. In the Shujayea neighbourhood, east of Gaza City, Al Jazeera says one Palestinian was killed when Israeli forces struck, citing a source in the ambulance and emergency services speaking to Al Jazeera.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah announced that a girl succumbed to her injuries sustained in Israeli gunfire earlier on Saturday north of the Nuseirat refugee camp, and Al Jazeera says the hospital also announced that a woman was seriously injured by gunfire from Israeli forces east of the Maghazi refugee camp. Al Jazeera adds that Gaza’s Ministry of Health said Basir al-Bursh, the son of its director general Munir al-Bursh, was killed in the attack in az-Zahra neighbourhood, west of the Jabalia refugee camp, and it quotes the ministry extending “their deepest condolences and most sincere sympathies” to Dr Muneer Abdullah al-Bursh.

Health system at risk

Al Jazeera says the Health Ministry warned on Wednesday that Gaza’s health system was on the verge of “total collapse” as Israel continues to limit the amount of medical aid and fuel permitted to enter the enclave. The same Al Jazeera report says a previously damaged building collapsed in Gaza City on Wednesday, killing at least 21 people including 12 children, and it adds that the Palestinian Civil Defence agency struggled to recover bodies from under the rubble due to Israel’s severe restrictions on heavy equipment.

UA.NEWS similarly reports that Gaza's Ministry of Health said on Wednesday the enclave's healthcare system was on the verge of “complete collapse,” while Israel continues to limit the amount of medical aid and fuel allowed into the Gaza Strip. In parallel, Al Jazeera says Palestinian families are now confined to about a third of the enclave, sheltering among destroyed buildings, rubble and uncleared waste, as the UN children’s agency UNICEF reported that, on average, one child is killed a day by Israel.
