Toll Rises Amid Talks
The Health Ministry of Lebanon said the death toll from Israel’s aggression against Lebanon has risen to 4,278 since March 2, 2026, after it recorded 21 new fatalities over the past 24 hours.
The ministry said it remains unclear whether the 21 individuals registered in the past day were killed during the same timeframe or whether the figure includes bodies recently recovered from bombed areas.

It also said 12,196 people have been injured during this span, with updated statistics covering the period from March 2 to June 30.
The announcement came as Beirut and Tel Aviv, under US supervision, signed a framework agreement outlining a phased Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and steps for the Lebanese Army to assume security responsibility in areas vacated by Israeli forces.
Despite the agreement, the IRNA report said Israel’s forces continue to occupy parts of southern Lebanon and have expanded their current incursion more than ten kilometers inside Lebanese territory.
Competing Death Counts
Middle East Eye reported that Lebanon’s health ministry is reporting at least 4,297 people killed and another 12,196 wounded in Israeli attacks on Lebanon since 2 March.
The QNA report from Beirut said the Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Public Health Ministry reported the death toll from Israeli aggression since March 2 to today has risen to 4,298 killed and 12,196 wounded.

QNA also said the framework agreement under American sponsorship provides for security arrangements and redeployment of the Lebanese army in the south, alongside measures to rebuild affected areas and revive the Lebanese economy.
In parallel, SANA said the Health Ministry stated that the cumulative toll of Israeli offensives from March 2 to July 1 stands at 4,297 dead and 12,196 injured.
SANA added that despite the ceasefire announced on April 17, Israeli bombardments continue daily in several areas of Lebanon, regularly causing deaths and injuries.
Ceasefire Disputes and Strikes
Ici Beyrouth said new Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon left about fifteen people dead on Saturday despite a ceasefire announced the day before.
It reported that the Health Ministry said 4,057 people had been killed and 12,121 wounded since the start of the Israeli offensive on March 2.
The report said the intensity of violence had initially fallen drastically between Israel and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, partly occupied by the Israeli army, but resumed over the past two days and threatens the Iran-U.S. accord announced on Monday.
Hezbollah accused Israel of resorting to false allegations to justify its repeated violations of the ceasefire, while the Israeli army said more than 50 rockets had been fired by Hezbollah at its forces deployed in southern Lebanon during the night of Friday.
Ici Beyrouth described ongoing attacks across southern Lebanon and the Bekaa, including a drone strike against a car and a motorcycle in Deir el-Zahrani that left one dead and another attack on a motorcycle in Doueir that also caused a death.
