The driver was identified as 26-year-old Alexander Sepulveda-Rivera of the Bronx, New York. Both the driver and a passenger fled the scene but were later taken into custody.
Charges and Investigation
Sepulveda-Rivera faces 21 charges including homicide by vehicle while DUI and involuntary manslaughter. He is lodged in Berks County Jail on an outstanding warrant.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash. The Walnuttown Fire Company mourned their loss.
