Aid delivered in Riaq
A convoy of nineteen trucks of relief materials arrived at the Qlayat (Riaq) base in Lebanon after Brigadier Bassam al-Nablsi of the High Relief Commission handed it over to Samar Abdul-Jabbar, the regional director of the World Food Programme for the United Nations in the Middle East and North Africa.

Al-Nablsi said, "We are proud to work with the High Relief Commission in Lebanon, with immense capabilities in difficult times, especially under the harsh conditions we are going through."
He added that the convoy came "from our people in Jordan to help our people in Lebanon," and described the World Food Programme’s role as coordinating the transfer of aid from donors to those in need in Lebanon.
For his part, Nabousi said the convoys were the result of a coordinated effort between the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and international agencies led by the World Food Programme, and he stressed that cooperation was "fully valued by us" while they hoped for "better conditions."
Ali al-Taher and diplomacy
In southern Lebanon, the Ali al-Taher hill became a focal point of the crisis, described as a military stake, a lever for negotiation, and a symbol of the balance of power between Israel and Hezbollah.
Ad Diyar reported a race between diplomacy and a possible Israeli operation, saying Washington still viewed the clashes in the south as localized incidents and would not have given its green light to a large-scale offensive against Ali al-Taher.
The same report framed a tension around a framework agreement reached on June 26, noting that Israel continued its strikes, destructions, and earth-moving operations despite the agreement.
Hezbollah’s position was presented through Deputy Hassan Ezzeddine, who asserted that the resistance will not renounce Ali al-Taher and will face "any Israeli attempt to take the position."
Al Joumhouriyat added that no official date had yet been set for the eighth series of direct negotiations between Lebanon and Israel in Rome, while contacts led by General Joseph Clearfield would still have allowed progress on borders and prisoners.
Berri calls for Trump
House Speaker Nabih Berri met a delegation from the American Task Force for Lebanon (ATFL) headed by Ambassador Edward Gabriel at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh.

Berri told the delegation that "what the south is being subjected to is unbearable" and said it may have surpassed what has happened and is happening in Gaza in terms of crimes and massacres against people, property and heritage.
He then argued that "President Donald Trump" is the only leader capable of compelling 'Israel' to end its war, cease fire, and withdraw to the internationally recognized border in the south.
Berri added that he would guarantee the immediate deployment of the Lebanese Army south of the Litani River, with the Lebanese Army as the sole force responsible for security and the only entity authorized to possess weapons in that area.
After the meeting, Ambassador Gabriel said the ATFL had a very good meeting with Speaker of Parliament Nabih Berri and that they discussed reforms and the security situation in Lebanon and the south, including direct negotiations and the framework agreement.
