OpenAI Rolls Out GPT-6 Intelligent UI With Clickable Tools, Charts, and Faster Web Search
GPT-6 rollout brings Intelligent UI with interactive charts, diagrams, forms in ChatGPT. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise get it Oct 7; Free and Go on Oct 8.
GPT-6 adds interactive UI
OpenAI rolled out GPT-6 to ChatGPT users alongside a redesigned interface called “Intelligent UI,” and the company said ChatGPT will now combine text with clickable buttons, forms, charts, and small embedded tools directly within the conversation. OpenAI said GPT-6 Instant begins responding to web search queries an average of 44 percent faster than GPT-5.6 Instant, and the rollout pairs that speed with a shift away from continuous text-only answers. OpenAI said Intelligent UI is powered by a library of pre-built, streamable components and a compiler that builds the interface even as the text is being generated.
OpenAI said GPT-6 is offered in two variants, with Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise customers using GPT-6 Sol and free users on the Free and Go plans using GPT-6 Luna. OpenAI said the models behind the Work and Codex tabs remain unaffected by this release, while the more demanding GPT-6 Astra model is not affected by this update.
Format adapts to the question
OpenAI said GPT-6 decides for itself which format is most appropriate, so a comparison of two products might appear as a side-by-side table while a physics explanation might become an interactive diagram where values can be adjusted. OpenAI said users can work through a problem step by step by changing input values and immediately seeing how the result changes, similar to a small simulation. OpenAI said Intelligent UI can include graphics, buttons, forms, maps, and small tools such as calculators or games, and it can also keep responses as short text when that is the most useful format.
OpenAI said the system is designed to appear progressively, because the compiler processes the interface as the model generates it. OpenAI said it evaluated how clear, useful, and complete each generated interface turned out to be during training.
Rollout dates and pricing
OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 with Intelligent UI worldwide on October 7, 2026 for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise customers, and OpenAI said free plans followed on October 8. OpenAI said Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise customers have access to GPT-6 Sol starting October 7, while Free and Go users get GPT-6 Luna starting October 8. OpenAI paired the ChatGPT rollout with a cut to its API price sheet on October 7, 2026, and the pricing changes set GPT-6 Sol at $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.

OpenAI set GPT-6 Luna at $0.10 per million input tokens and $0.50 per million output tokens, and the same source said the output-side cut was roughly 58%. OpenAI said it highlighted stronger resistance to jailbreak attempts, particularly in multi-stage attacks spanning multiple chat messages, and it pointed to updated safeguards against misuse for cyberattacks or biological threats.
