On the eve of Eid al-Adha, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian spoke by phone with Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, congratulating Egypt’s government and people and describing the grand rites of Hajj as “an unparalleled display of unity and solidarity among the Islamic Ummah.”

Pezeshkian stressed the importance of harnessing that capacity to serve the common interests of Muslim countries and expressed hope that the Eid blessings would enhance security, welfare, and health for Muslim peoples, especially Iran and Egypt.

The same report said Pezeshkian and Anwar Ibrahim emphasized strengthening cooperation across the Islamic world and expanding bilateral relations between Tehran and Kuala Lumpur during a phone conversation held on the occasion of Eid al-Adha earlier on Tuesday.
