SDCC Teaser and Premiere
Prime Video unveiled the first teaser trailer for the limited series Blade Runner 2099 at Hall H during San Diego Comic-Con, with stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer joining showrunner Silka Luisa and executive producers Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.
“Key takeaways - All eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 will premiere November 25 on Prime Video”
The series is set in Los Angeles in the year 2099, 50 years after the events of Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, and follows Olwen, a veteran Blade Runner days from dying, partnering with Cora to investigate a widening conspiracy.

Prime Video confirmed that all eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 will premiere globally on November 25, 2026, exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
In the teaser’s overview, Cora is described as a mysterious new recruit who investigates a conspiracy stretching back to the city’s darkest original sins, while Olwen’s final-days status anchors the story’s urgency.
Characters and Creative Team
Variety described the leads as Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh playing Olwen, a replicant grappling with the end of her life, and Hunter Schafer playing Cora, a human on the run from Blade Runners.
In the trailer, Olwen tells Cora, “The old world forever fights to come back. Humans want what was taken from them. But it’s our time now.”

Deadline’s account of the Hall H panel said Prime Video dropped the first trailer in Hall H on Friday morning at Comic-Con and set the series to stream on November 25 in 240 countries and territories.
Deadline also framed the series’ premise through Cora’s trailer line, “Replicants, they keep taking it all away,” and positioned the story as a final bid to stop running as Cora takes on one last identity as a Blade Runner.
Production Footage and Stakes
Tech Times reported that at the panel, Luisa screened an exclusive scene for the Hall H audience in which Cora is seized, strapped to a table, and subjected to a mechanical wound-treatment procedure.

In that scene, Olwen dismisses the crew and begins her own interrogation, and Tech Times quoted Olwen asking Cora, “Why did you let something weaker hurt you?”
Tech Times also described the series synopsis as a widening conspiracy that “stretches back to the city's darkest original sins,” set in Los Angeles in the year 2099.
Across coverage, the creative team’s structure was consistent: Silka Luisa serves as showrunner and executive producer, Ridley Scott is an executive producer, and Jonathan van Tulleken is set to direct the first two episodes while Steven Johnson is co-EP.
