Mainnet and UK push
Robinhood activated the public mainnet for Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum-based Layer 2, and said it plans to launch crypto trading in the UK soon.

The company said Robinhood Chain officially launched after the network went live on testnet in February, and it described the blockchain as “AI-native and purpose-built for real-world assets.”

Robinhood also said its tokenized stock products were live and available through its wallet app to users in more than 120 countries, while CEO Vlad Tenev called tokenized stocks “inevitable.”
In the same expansion push, Robinhood introduced Robinhood Earn, a decentralized product that allows users to lend USDG through a self-custody wallet at an estimated 7% annual percentage yield, and Reuters said Robinhood shares rose about 8% on Wednesday.
Testnet scale and partners
Robinhood Chain’s public testnet processed 4 million transactions in seven days, according to CEO Vlad Tenev, and the testnet had been launched on February 11 after six months of closed testing.
Developers were already building on the L2 designed for tokenized real world assets and onchain financial services, and Tenev wrote that “The next chapter of finance runs onchain.”

The chain is built on Arbitrum, and multiple infrastructure providers were named for the implementation, including Alchemy, LayerZero, and Chainlink.
In addition to the testnet milestone, the launch was framed around tokenized stocks, ETFs, and other RWAs, with Robinhood describing the network as permissionless and tailored for continuous onchain finance.
Onchain finance stakes
Robinhood’s mainnet launch came during “The World is Flat” livestream from London’s Old Royal Naval College on July 1, 2026, and Robinhood said tokenized stocks, onchain lending, and perpetuals arrived with the network on day one.

Chainlink was described as the oracle and cross-chain infrastructure, with the launch noting that Chainlink went live from block zero and that CCIP would move stock tokens and messages between Robinhood Chain and outside networks.
Robinhood said tokenized stock access would expand to eligible users in over 120 countries through the Robinhood Wallet, while it also stated the tokens remained unavailable in the U.S., Canada, UK, Switzerland, UAE, and sanctioned jurisdictions.
At the same time, the company’s crypto performance was described as weakening, with TradingView reporting that in April Robinhood said its crypto transaction revenue dropped by almost 50% year-on-year, from $252 million to $134 million, and that it was expected to announce its 2026 second-quarter results on July 29.
