Heat Dome and Storms
In San Diego, a high pressure “heat dome” will expand west, bringing warmer days and a return of monsoon moisture, with temperatures trending near to 8 degrees above average and deserts topping out above 110 degrees most of the week.
“High pressure, or the heat dome, will expand west”
10News Meteorologist Megan Parry said Wednesday is a transition day into muggier weather, with the chance of showers and thunderstorms over the mountains and deserts increasing Thursday through Monday.

The forecast warns that any storms that form may produce heavy rain, strong winds, lightning, small hail and localized flooding, and that a storm may spill over into the valleys.
In Palm Beaches and the Treasure Coast, WPTV said Tuesday will be exceptionally hot with highs generally in the mid to upper 90s and some spots near 98 degrees, and with humidity it will feel more like 105 degrees to 112 degrees.
WPTV added that moisture begins returning by Wednesday, with rain and storm chances increasing Wednesday afternoon and evening and another increase Thursday and Friday, while the Treasure Coast should have the better opportunity for storms as moisture builds back in.
Arizona Heat and Safety
In Phoenix, FOX 10 Phoenix reported the hot spell continues all week across Arizona, with Tuesday’s high at 113 degrees and a record-warm morning low of 92 degrees.
The same forecast said extreme heat warnings will remain in effect for the deserts of southern and western Arizona through Friday evening, and the Grand Canyon below 4,000 feet through Thursday evening.
FOX 10 Phoenix also laid out heat emergency guidance from the Scottsdale Fire Department, including that heat stroke is “Elevated temp. +103degrees” with confusion/irrational behavior and dry/hot skin.
For what to do, the forecast instructed: “Get person into shade or cool location,” and it added that if symptoms worsen, “call 911.”
It further noted that the Arizona Department of Health Services recommended staying in air-conditioned buildings and finding a cooling center/hydration station as part of prevention for heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
Palestine Forecast Warnings
In Palestine, the Meteorological Department expected today, Wednesday, that the weather would be hot in the mountainous areas and very hot in the remaining areas with high humidity in most areas.
“peak hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM”
The forecast from شبكة راية الإعلامية said a slight increase in temperatures is expected, resulting in temperatures slightly above the annual average, with winds northwesterly and the sea light in wave height.
It warned residents of Jericho and the Jordan Valley of the danger of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during peak hours from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and also warned about the danger of starting fires in areas with abundant dry grass.
WAFA’s forecast for RAMALLAH on August 19, 2026 said temperatures are expected to rise slightly, becoming slightly above their annual average, with winds northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, and sea waves light.
WAFA repeated the same cautions for Jericho and the Jordan Valley, warning against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight particularly between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., and against leaving children or elderly people inside closed vehicles.
