Kisan attack, Bethlehem area

Four Palestinians were shot with live ammunition on Saturday morning during an attack by settlers on the village of Kisan, east of Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank. Musa Abyat, head of the Kisan Village Council, said the settlers attacked residents in the village and fired live rounds at them, wounding two, while others were beaten by the assailants, and he added that the settlers seized about 100 sheep from Atta Allah Ibrahim Abyat.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said its crews treated two people shot with live ammunition in the lower limbs—a 52-year-old man and a 39-year-old young man—and transported them to hospital, noting that occupation forces initially prevented the ambulance from reaching the injured. The attack was described as part of ongoing attacks on residents and their property in the area, including the establishment of settler outposts on village lands, and the Committee for the Struggle Against the Wall and Settlements said six Palestinians have been martyred during 192 settler attacks in the West Bank since the start of the war on Iran at the end of February.

Indictments and wider campaign

In the occupied West Bank, Mariam Barghouti wrote that Israel has mobilized all of its military and colonial means to make life unbearable for Palestinians, while the United States is trying to prolong the Israeli aggression against Gaza through the theater of a ceasefire. Barghouti said Israel has intensified its 'counter-insurgency operations' in the West Bank in order to 'fight Palestinian terrorism,' and she argued that the term is used to conceal intentions and manufacture another reality.

She described the intensification of military aggression alongside violence of settler militias, destruction of infrastructure, demolitions of homes, and the multiplication of roadblocks and checkpoints, saying the aim is to create on the ground conditions that make life impossible for Palestinians in the West Bank, modeled on Gaza. Barghouti also wrote that in 2025 the Israeli military offensive in the West Bank triggered the largest campaign of mass displacement Palestinians have known since 1967, with nearly 50,000 Palestinians forcibly expelled from their homes, and she said at least 70% of Jenin's roads were bulldozed.

Attacks continue south of Bethlehem

WAFA reported that Israeli colonists on Friday evening attacked a Palestinian citizen in the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, and that the colonists assaulted a citizen while he was on his land in the Wadi Saif area and seized his mobile phone. WAFA said Israeli colonists have recently intensified attacks against Palestinians while they are tending their agricultural lands, including physical assaults that have resulted in injuries and bruises, as well as the detention of several individuals.

In parallel, WAFA listed additional incidents in the Bethlehem area, including that colonists attacked Palestinian vehicles near the village of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem, and that settlers gathered at the roundabout of Al-Minya and threw stones at Palestinian vehicles, damaging several of them. The same WAFA page also included a separate item stating that colonists attacked a Palestinian in Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, and it placed the Beit Fajjar attack within a broader sequence of reported settler attacks and Israeli actions in the West Bank.
