Lloyd acknowledged the speculation but framed it as a distraction only for outsiders. He also addressed the optics of wearing UNC blue on the flight, calling it a blind spot when it comes to fashion.
Speculation Swirls Despite Reassurance
Lloyd has not issued a formal denial or indicated he would return to Arizona. UNC's top choice remains Lloyd, but Billy Donovan is next in line.
The Atlantic Council warned the campaign was a high-risk gamble. Michigan point guard Cadeau is expected to play against Arizona despite an allergic reaction.
Financial Hurdles and Timing
Lloyd's buyout dropped from $11 million to $9 million. The Tar Heels also owe Davis $5 million-plus. Lloyd already makes $5.3 million per year.
