Ceasefire Violations Continue
Israeli occupation forces continued to violate the ceasefire and fragile truce in the Gaza Strip, which was signed on October 10, 2025, in Cairo under Arab and American mediation, for the 319th day in a row.

In the early hours of Monday, the occupation carried out violations including drone strikes, artillery shelling, and gunfire that left 8 martyrs, and the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that a drone strike west of Khan Younis killed a citizen and injured others.
WAFA also said the Israeli bombardment on al-Bureij camp in the center of the Gaza Strip resulted in the death of four-year-old Hassan Al-Hafi, and that a targeting of a displacement camp’s tent near the Shaheed al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah led to the martyrdom of two citizens and injuries to several others.
The same WAFA account said the death toll since the ceasefire on October 11 stands at 1,288 martyrs and 4,290 injuries, while the number of rescue operations reached 813.
Al-Quds reported that the total number of martyrs since the ceasefire went into effect on October 11, 2025 reached 1,288, and that medical teams recorded 4,290 civilians injured since that date.
Civil Defense Recovery Efforts
Gaza Civil Defense launched and continued phases of recovery work aimed at extracting bodies from destroyed buildings, with Al Jazeera reporting crews searching the ruins of the six-story Engineers Tower in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza for bodies of dozens of Palestinians trapped beneath the rubble.
In a press conference on Saturday, Civil Defense officials said debris-clearing and recovery operations were continuing despite severe equipment shortages and dangerous conditions, describing the effort as a humanitarian and moral duty to allow families to recover and bury their loved ones with dignity.
The Al-Jazeera Net account said the Civil Defense announced the continuation of efforts to extract the bodies of dozens of martyrs trapped under the building’s rubble, completing the second phase of the victim retrieval project that began at the start of July last year in Gaza City.
That same account said the six-story 'Tower of Engineers' with 24 apartments housed more than 300 residents at the time of the Israeli raid, and that about 150 martyrs were recovered in November 2023.
In the Gaza Strip, Saba reported that civil defense teams recovered 55 bodies and remains of martyrs from under the rubble of a building belonging to the "Malka" family in the Al-Zeitoun area, east of Gaza City, where the building had been sheltering approximately 60 people.
Humanitarian Stakes and Totals
As the ceasefire violations persisted, the sources tied the immediate attacks to a continuing humanitarian and health crisis, with Al-Quds saying field offensives deepened the crisis faced by residents who have been besieged for many months.

teleSUR said the Health Ministry of the Gaza Strip reported that at least two people died and four were injured in the last 48 hours due to ongoing artillery attacks and bombings by the Israeli army, and that several victims remained trapped under rubble and in public roads.
teleSUR also stated that since the start of the ceasefire on October 11, the assaults left 1,285 dead, 4,252 injured, and 813 bodies recovered, while it estimated at least 7,500 people remain buried under the ruins across the Strip.
In parallel, teleSUR cited UN OCHA figures saying about 94% of the population (approximately 1.9 million of the 2.1 million inhabitants) require urgent assistance in shelter and basic survival supplies, and it said Israel spent more than 140 billion dollars in its Gaza campaign, according to Haaretz.
