New DOJ releases
The U.S. Department of Justice began publishing long-awaited records in the Jeffrey Epstein case, including photographs and judicial documents, after a law required delivery of the materials within 30 days.

The La Teja report says the release has generated immediate impact by exposing links between Epstein and figures in politics, entertainment, and the global business elite, including images showing former Democratic president Bill Clinton with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.
La Teja also says the release included a widely discussed image of Clinton in a jacuzzi with sections covered by black rectangles, while the DOJ argued the redactions were necessary to protect the identity of potential victims.
In parallel, Ouest-France reports that the U.S. Justice Ministry published three million new documents related to the case on 30 January under the constraint of a law voted by Congress.
Judge unseals suicide note
A federal judge in the United States ordered the release of a handwritten document described as a suicide note allegedly written by Jeffrey Epstein, which was unsealed by U.S. District Judge Kenneth Karas after a request by The New York Times.
Vibes Of India quotes the note’s line: “It is a treat to be able to choose one’s time to say goodbye,” and says the judge ruled the document qualified as a judicial record under the public’s right to access court-related materials.
Axios reports that Judge Kenneth Karas released the unverified and undated note to the court, and it frames the release alongside the Justice Department and FBI conclusion last July that Epstein died by suicide.
Vibes Of India adds that the judge did not authenticate the note or verify whether Epstein actually wrote it, and it says the note contains lines including “They investigated me for month – Found NOTHING!!! So 15 year old charges resulted.”
Global elite fallout
The UN News report says independent United Nations experts warned that the Epstein Files reveal troubling and credible evidence of systematic and large-scale sexual abuse, trafficking, and exploitation of women and girls, and that some described facts could amount to very grave qualifications under international law.

UN News also says the materials rekindle the question of how such a network thrived for so long at the heart of political, economic, and media elites, more than six years after Epstein’s death in custody.
In Europe, Euronews reports that the release of more than three million additional documents led to resignations, accusations, and a wave of vitriol aimed at members of the European political elite, while noting the DOJ deemed the files potentially relevant but insufficient to bring charges.
Euronews further states that Jack Lang and his daughter Caroline are cited as corresponding directly with Epstein, and it quotes Lang’s response that “I was completely shocked when I learned of the crimes he had committed,” after he said he first met Epstein through Woody Allen.
