Tenth Night of Strikes
The U.S. military’s Central Command launched a tenth consecutive night of strikes on Iran, saying the attacks were designed to further degrade Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

CBS News reported that Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell confirmed that almost 100 people “were deemed to have some degree of injury since July 7, 2026,” with 96% of them having returned to duty.
Jordan’s armed forces said they shot down three Iranian missiles and that there had been no material damage or casualties, while there was no immediate word from Iran.
Fox News said President Donald Trump ordered fresh U.S. strikes on Iran at the Commander in Chief’s direction, and CENTCOM stated “The strikes are designed to further degrade Iranian military capabilities used to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.”
Diplomacy and Threats
While the strikes continued, Iran’s interior minister Eskandar Momeni traveled to Pakistan for two days of talks, with Iranian state media reporting he landed in Islamabad Monday evening and with Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi saying he was optimistic the talks would bring progress.
In a statement carried by CBS News, a U.S. official said the establishment of initial “pilot zones” in Lebanon “represents real progress on the ground” as a movement toward peace, with Lebanese forces controlling the zones following Israel’s withdrawal from them.
The Guardian reported that Trump said Iran “will pay” for killing soldiers “many times over” after Pezeshkian said Iran was fighting “full-scale war,” and the U.S. military began a fresh round of strikes about 20 minutes before the report.
In the same Guardian live coverage, Saudi Arabia condemned Yemen’s Houthis’ announcement of a maritime blockade of the kingdom, saying it “expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strongest condemnation” of the Houthi statements imposing the blockade.
Regional Fallout and Shipping
The conflict’s pressure extended to maritime routes near the Strait of Hormuz, where a British maritime agency said a vessel was struck 17 nautical miles east of Dibba in the United Arab Emirates and that the strike had “no environmental impact.”

The same British maritime agency said another incident happened eight nautical miles off the coast of Kumzar, Oman, and classified it as an attack, adding that the fire “has not been extinguished and the vessel is currently adrift.”
France 24 reported that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said his country was in a “full-scale war” with the United States after the U.S. carried out a ninth consecutive night of attacks, while Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis announced a maritime embargo of Saudi Arabia.
In parallel, DW reported that the U.S. attacks Iran for the ninth consecutive night since a ceasefire collapsed, and that the U.S. military said the strikes were aimed to degrade Tehran’s ability to target commercial and civilian shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
