BatchV1_1 upgrade delayed to Oct 9 after validator support briefly dropped below 80%. Activation clock restarted, restarting the two-week activation countdown.

BatchV1_1 pushed to Oct. 9
The XRP Ledger’s Batch upgrade, formally named BatchV1_1, slipped to an earliest activation around Oct. 9 after validator support briefly fell below the required 80% threshold and restarted its two-week activation clock.
The upgrade had been counting down since Sept. 15, and it regained support from 30 of 35 trusted validators on Sept. 25, according to the XRPL amendment dashboard.

The protocol required support from more than 80% of trusted validators for two consecutive weeks, and losing that support wiped out the accumulated time even if votes returned shortly afterward.
CoinDesk reported that the brief drop reset the two-week activation clock, putting the earliest activation at Oct. 9 if support holds, while CoinDesk also described Batch as a feature that would let users bundle up to eight transactions together.
The upgrade was also linked to a separate change, PermissionDelegationV1_1, which was delayed and could activate as early as Oct. 8 after its validator support lost the qualifying level and then regained it.
How the validator reset works
The XRP Ledger’s BatchV1_1 amendment required support from more than 80% of trusted validators for 14 consecutive days, and TOKENPOST said that with 35 validators in the current set, at least 29 votes were required.
TOKENPOST tied the reset to a specific moment, saying BatchV1_1 regained support from 30 of 35 trusted validators on Sept. 25 at 10:46:02 a.m. ET (14:46:02 UTC).

CoinDesk said the feature would let users submit up to eight transactions together, including all-or-nothing exchanges that could enable simultaneous payment and delivery of tokenized assets.
CoinDesk also quoted RippleX’s head of engineering, Ayo Akinyele, saying, "Some projects are already being built with Batch in mind, so activation would allow that work to move closer to production," while noting he did not name partners or give launch dates.
TOKENPOST added that BatchV1_1 allows an account to submit up to eight inner transactions in one batch, with transactions designed to be processed atomically, succeeding or failing together.
Network activity and market backdrop
The XRP Ledger saw 11,432 new accounts created in a single day, a 323% jump over the usual 30-day average of about 2,700 per day, as Coin Gabbar described the surge alongside the BatchV1_1 delay. Coin Gabbar also said XRP price was trading around $1.55, with an intraday high near $1.5531, and it described market cap near $97.44 billion and 24-hour trading volume near $6.43 billion. Coin Gabbar reported that wallets holding between one million and ten million XRP added more than 470 million tokens in just five days, pushing that group’s total holdings from 12.37 billion up to 12.80 billion XRP.
Coin Gabbar tied the upgrade timeline to the same validator mechanics, saying BatchV1_1 regained support from 30 of 35 trusted validators on September 25 and that a fresh two-week window put earliest activation around October 9. AD HOC NEWS said the spike in wallet creation coincided with final preparations for "BatchV1_1," a protocol change scheduled to activate on September 29, while also stating validator support already cleared the bar with 30 of the network’s 35 validators back the measure.
