Fourth year of steadfastness
Ziyad al-Nakhaleh, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, said the fourth year of the Battle of the Al-Aqsa Flood would be a year of steadfastness and resilience, and of foiling the plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian cause. al-Nakhaleh said the Palestinian people entered the fourth year of the war after the number of martyrs exceeded 80,000, while more than 200,000 others were wounded, amid ongoing killings, destruction, blockade, and starvation. al-Nakhaleh said the resistance dealt positively with initiatives aimed at a ceasefire, mediators’ proposals, and the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh conference, but it faced continued aggression and its expansion to the West Bank.
al-Nakhaleh said the Palestinian people remain steadfast on their land, awaiting Arab and Islamic support, and he praised the stance of the Lebanese resistance and the Yemeni role in the confrontation. al-Nakhaleh said the tally of martyrs across the fronts of confrontation exceeded 90,000, recalling Hamas leaders Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Salah al-Arawi, and Hezbollah leaders Hassan Nasrallah and Hachem Safedine.

Unity and resistance by all means
Tassnim International News Agency reported that al-Nakhaleh said, “We celebrate the resistance of our people and we commemorate its ongoing sacrifices,” describing the Al-Aqsa Flood as a natural response to Israeli violations against the Palestinian people. al-Nakhaleh said in a speech on the 39th anniversary of the movement’s founding and concurrent with the third anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Flood battle, “We celebrate our people’s resistance and commemorate its ongoing sacrifices.” al-Nakhaleh emphasized that the unity of the resistance forces in Palestine and in the region will remain intact no matter the challenges, and he urged Arab and Islamic countries to fulfill their duties to safeguard the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land.
al-Nakhaleh renewed his affirmation that the Palestinian people will not abandon the resistance against the occupation by all means as long as the Zionist project remains on our land. al-Nakhaleh said, “Peace be upon our great Palestinian people who still carry the banner of resistance for more than a hundred years, and have not broken, are still steadfast and firm, and firmly hold onto their rights.”

War continues, displacement fears
Ziyad al-Nakhlah, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement, affirmed the movement's adherence to resistance and the unity of Palestinian forces, and he accused the occupation of continuing aggression despite initiatives, negotiations, and efforts aimed at stopping the war. al-Nakhlah said the resistance responded positively to mediator proposals and the outcomes of the Cairo summit conference, but he said the occupation “flouted” what had been agreed upon and continued its aggression, which expanded to include the West Bank. al-Nakhlah warned of attempts to displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, and he said the occupation seeks to repeat the 1948 dislocation scenario that Palestine experienced.
al-Nakhlah praised the Egyptian stance for rejecting the displacement of Gaza’s residents in this context, and he called for continuing to support the Palestinian people and provide their humanitarian needs. al-Nakhlah said the Islamic Jihad Movement will remain committed to resistance and that the Palestinian people will not abandon their right to confront the occupation by all means.
