The Express reports an anonymous witness's account of a father punching a passer-by on a red-flagged Cornish beach during Storm Austen. Its headline turns the body's hedged 'seemingly chose to completely ignore' into a flat statement that the family ignored the warning. The headline also calls a one-sided punch a 'fight'.

  1. Headline goes beyond the article

    Minor

    “family ignore red flag warning”

    Why this matters

    The impression it gives
It is established that the family saw the red flag and deliberately ignored it.
    The context
The body hedges this. It says only that the warnings were ones 'this family seemingly chose to completely ignore'. Nothing in the article shows the family saw the flag or was told about it before entering the water.
