About this analysis

Anadolu Agency reports Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian's remarks to officials from Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan at a quadrilateral meeting in Tehran. It attributes his statements to him and to the official IRNA news agency, and it names who attended. Nothing in it misleads the reader.

What it gets right

  • “the official IRNA news agency reported Monday”

The outlet names its source for the president's remarks and marks them as his statement, not as its own fact.

  • “Türkiye is represented by National Intelligence Organization Director Ibrahim Kalin, Saudi Arabia by Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, and Pakistan by Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir”

The outlet names each delegation's representative and their post, which matches the joint statement and other reports of the same meeting.
