In Gaza City, Al Jazeera reported a drone fired a missile at a group of civilians in the Sabra neighbourhood, killing Hassan al-Deiri and wounding others taken to al-Shifa Hospital.

Al Jazeera also said a third attack hit a tent of displaced people in the Mashahra area east of Gaza City, killing one person and injuring several others.

The latest casualties added to a continuing toll from Israeli attacks across the enclave, where displaced Palestinians have sought shelter amid the ongoing conflict, with Latest news from Azerbaijan reporting that the number of people killed across the Gaza Strip in Israeli attacks on Friday reached five.

Family Deaths and Ceasefire

Al Jazeera said the three Abdeen family members were killed in a drone strike north of Khan Younis, while Anadolu sources cited by Middle East Monitor described the victims as two brothers and their cousin from the Abdeen family killed in Al-Qarara.

Middle East Monitor reported that an Israeli drone struck the Abdeen family while they were outside their home, killing all three, and said the bodies were brought to Nasser Hospital.

The same Al Jazeera report placed the attacks against the backdrop of a United States-brokered “ceasefire” in place since October 2025, and said the Gaza Strip continues to face severe food insecurity.

Al Jazeera also cited United Nations World Food Programme data showing nearly half of those surveyed in Gaza, or 46 percent, reported going to bed hungry at least once in the previous 30 days.

Al Jazeera Net framed the day’s violence as “5 martyrs, including 3 from the same family,” and said Israeli violations have continued since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025.

Wider Toll and Food Access

Beyond the immediate strikes, Al Jazeera reported that the Gaza Strip’s hunger crisis is tied to constrained access to goods, with food access remaining severely constrained amid Israeli restrictions on the entry of goods.

Al Jazeera said the daily average number of trucks crossing into Gaza since last year’s ceasefire is 217, far below the 600 trucks per day agreed under the ceasefire agreement.

Latest news from Azerbaijan | Asian put the Friday deaths into a broader pattern, saying earlier Israeli attacks killed one person in Gaza City's Sabra neighborhood and three others near Khan Younis.

naiz reported that Gaza and West Bank attacks killed at least seven people on Friday, and said the Palestinian news agency Wafa reported an attack reached a group of farmers in the locality of Al Qarara, killing three of them.

naiz also stated that more than 1.300 Palestinians have died by attacks of Israeli troops since the entry into force of the cited ceasefire, and that since the start of the offensive launched by Israel after the attacks of 7 October 2023 there have been 73.438 deaths and 174.447 injured.
