IPO Target Emerges

Blockchain.com is targeting a $500 million U.S. IPO this year with a valuation of $4 billion to $6 billion, according to Bloomberg reporting cited by CoinDesk.

Blockchain.com has confidentially filed for an initial public offering with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission earlier this year, and the confidential filing allowed the company to begin the SEC review process before publicly disclosing financial details.

Blockchain.com is aiming to go public by the end of 2026, and the company is discussing the valuation range with prospective investors while the size of the offering could be reduced if needed.

Altcoin Buzz reports that Blockchain.com confidentially submitted draft IPO registration documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in May, and it adds that the filing did not disclose the number of shares the company plans to sell or an IPO price range.

Market Backdrop

Blockchain.com’s IPO push is arriving after a quiet year for crypto IPOs, following a weak market in early 2026 that prompted some companies to delay their plans, CoinDesk reported. Bloomberg reporting cited by Altcoin Buzz says discussions are still ongoing, meaning the size, valuation and timing could change before a public offering.

Bloomingbit reports that Bitcoin has risen about 33% since mid-August, and it says Gemini, Bullish and eToro went public last year while listing activity among crypto firms later cooled. Bloomingbit also reports that Gemini shares have dropped more than 80% since their debut, while BitGo and eToro are down about 60% and 50%, respectively, as Blockchain.com seeks a new public-market test.

Tokenized Stocks and Scale

Blockchain.com is also expanding beyond its original wallet and blockchain-explorer roots, and it has moved deeper into tokenized stocks, Altcoin Buzz reported.

Altcoin Buzz says Blockchain.com signed a memorandum of understanding with the New York Stock Exchange on Sept. 23 to explore distributing tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs through Blockchain.com’s platform.

Unchained Crypto reports that Blockchain.com announced on May 21 that it confidentially submitted a draft S-1 registration statement to the SEC, and it says the company’s offering depended on market conditions and the SEC’s review.

Altcoin Buzz reports that Blockchain.com has more than 95 million wallets and over 43 million verified accounts, and it says the company has processed more than $1.1 trillion in crypto transactions, figures that would become part of the public-investor picture if the IPO proceeds.
