USDC, EURC enter SAP
Circle and Tereina announced a partnership on October 7 to integrate USDC and EURC into Tereina’s payment infrastructure, starting with SAP Cloud ERP and SAP Pay. Circle said USDC would be used for dollar transactions while EURC would handle euro transactions, and the integration would let eligible businesses send and receive stablecoin payments from applications they already use. Tereina said Arc would serve as the preferred blockchain for the payment setup, and the companies positioned the rollout as stablecoin settlement inside enterprise tools rather than a separate crypto payment system.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire said the partnership can help bring USDC and EURC into “everyday business operations,” and Tereina CEO Cedric Bru said the goal was to make stablecoin payments a native feature inside enterprise applications. The companies also said they planned customer trials, staff training, and cooperation with payments teams, while not announcing a full deployment timetable beyond the initial customer programs.

SAP Pay, reconciliation, pilots
Tereina launched SAP Pay on October 6, 2026, and Circle and Tereina confirmed their partnership a day later on October 7, 2026. SAP Pay lives inside SAP Cloud ERP, and businesses can pay suppliers and other stakeholders from within the ERP using traditional currencies or stablecoins. Tereina said SAP Pay can cut payment costs by up to 25%, and the service supports a range of payment rails including ACH, EFT, wire, check and stablecoin settlement.
SAP Pay also includes automated reconciliation, fraud detection and multi-rail routing, and multi-rail routing lets the system pick which payment method to use for a given transaction. Circle and Tereina said they plan to test the stablecoin integration with customers over the coming months, including for global payments and treasury operations.

Market reaction and scope
Circle stock fell 5.17% to $79.78 in early trading on October 7 after the company announced a stablecoin deal with Tereina.
The same report said Circle shares traded at $79.78, down by $4.35 from the previous close of $84.13, and it placed shares near the displayed session’s lowest levels at 10:26 a.m. UTC-4.
The partnership announcement said the SAP ecosystem is linked to 84% of global commerce, and it said the integration targets the wider SAP ecosystem rather than requiring businesses to change how finance teams work.
The companies said Arc would be the preferred blockchain for the initial enterprise payment flow, and the report noted that status does not require every SAP Pay transaction to settle on Arc.
Circle’s October 5 reserve figures showed $74.1 billion in circulating USDC backed by $74.3 billion in reserves, and the report said the preceding seven days included $9.4 billion in USDC issued while holders redeemed $10 billion.
