Rosenheim stabbing
A 31-year-old British woman was stabbed at Rosenheim railway station in Rosenheim, Bavaria, shortly before 01:00 local time on Sunday and died after being taken to hospital with "severe" injuries.

German authorities detained a 27-year-old German man from the Fürstenfeldbruck district at the scene immediately after the incident, and police said a homicide investigation is now underway.
The Independent said police were called to Rosenheim railway station at around 12.50am following a report that a woman had been stabbed with a knife, and it said the suspect was arrested at the scene immediately after the incident.
The BBC reported that police asked anyone who may have witnessed "an argument or physical altercation" at the station late on Saturday or early on Sunday to contact them.
Investigation and officials
The Independent quoted the Bavarian Police statement saying: "Immediately after the attack, the suspect was apprehended by officers from the Federal Police who had arrived at the scene."
Under the direction of the Traunstein Public Prosecutor's Office, Rosenheim branch, the Independent said an investigation is underway on suspicion of homicide and that the background and motive of the crime are the subject of ongoing criminal investigations.
The BBC said the suspect, from the Fürstenfeldbruck district, will be brought before magistrates later on Sunday, according to German news agency DPA, and it said it is not known if the two knew each other or what the woman was doing in Bavaria.
The Guardian said police did not release the names of the victim or the suspect in line with German privacy rules and that they were still investigating the circumstances and motive behind the crime.

The BBC also said police asked anyone who may have witnessed "an argument or physical altercation" at the station late on Saturday or early on Sunday to contact them as the background and motive for the attack is under investigation.
The Guardian reported that federal police officers were called to the scene and detained the suspect immediately after the stabbing, while it said police were still investigating the circumstances and motive behind the crime.
The Independent added that police urged anyone who witnessed an argument or physical altercation at the train station between Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday, or had other information, to come forward.
