9to5Google said the invite announcement comes five weeks before the event and that Google is teasing “the next generation of Pixel,” while the teaser shows a gold metal frame and a horizontal camera visor.

The expected lineup for the August 12 showcase includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, along with the Pixel Watch 5.
Android Central also said the Pixel 11 series launch event is confirmed for August 12 at 6 p.m. ET in New York, and it described the invite as “Apple-ish” in style while noting Google did not name the Pixel 11 series in the invite itself.
Chrome Unboxed added that the event will be “live from New York City” and pegged the keynote time at 6:00 PM ET (3:00 PM PT).
Pixel Glow and storage
Multiple outlets tied the Pixel 11 teaser to a rumored design change, with Ars Technica saying the most notable design change will probably be the rumored “Pixel Glow” lights.
CNET similarly described a rumor that Google will remove the temperature sensor on the Pixel 11 and replace it with a notification LED-like feature called Pixel Glow.

Ars Technica reported that Google will reportedly move to 256GB as the base storage for both phones and that the leaks include alleged pricing for the European market.
Digital Trends put the same direction into specific numbers for Europe, saying the entry-level Pixel 11 might cost €999 while the Pixel 11 Pro could start at €1,199 and the Pixel 11 Pro XL at €1,399.
Android Authority and Android Headlines both said the Pixel Watch 5 is expected to be unveiled alongside the Pixel 11 series on August 12 in New York City, keeping the focus on the same date and location even as details vary across coverage.
AI push and what’s next
Beyond hardware timing and pricing, CNET said Google is “heavily leaning into agentic AI capabilities,” and it framed the Pixel 11 family as aiming to bring features like Gemini Intelligence into the lineup.

The same CNET piece also noted that Android 17 began rolling out to eligible Pixel smartphones in June, while the Pixel 11 family could come with exclusive features that may not trickle down to older Google handsets.
In parallel, 9to5Google said the Pixel 11 series could be another big year for software and AI features, while also flagging “the impact of rising component costs on specifications and the price.”
MacRumors connected those pressures to DRAM costs, saying most device manufacturers are upping prices in 2026 because of the soaring costs of DRAM.
With the August 12 event now set, the coverage points to a near-term reveal window for the Pixel 11 lineup and Pixel Watch 5, while Android Headlines added that pre-orders will start on August 12 and should ship within a week or two if everything holds true.
