Biden vs. Netanyahu

Hunter Biden, the son of former U.S. President Joe Biden, criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during an interview with Tucker Carlson, saying, "If it’s antisemitic to point out that Bibi Netanyahu is evil incarnate then I don’t know what to tell people anymore."

In the same interview, Biden told Carlson, "I know 100 percent you’re not antisemitic," after Carlson rejected claims that he was antisemitic.

The remarks were framed by Haaretz as part of Biden’s Monday interview on Tucker Carlson’s podcast, where Haaretz said the host also claimed the laptop allegations "came from the Israelis."

Haaretz also described Biden as calling Netanyahu "evil incarnate" during the conversation, while Newsweek reported Biden made the comment while discussing criticism of Israel and the war in Gaza.

Laptop allegations

Tucker Carlson told Hunter Biden that the allegation about the laptop story’s contents "came from the Israelis," and the Independent reported Carlson dismissed conspiracy theories about explicit images of children in the interview.

The Independent further said Carlson claimed a man "connected to [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu" gave information directly to a producer on his former Fox News show.

Newsweek reported Carlson said, "The allegation...came from the Israelis," while also disputing the standard origin story for how the laptop material entered American media.

In Spanish-language coverage, Independent en Español said Carlson told Biden, “Déjame decirte una cosa: esta fue mi experiencia en ese momento. La acusación de que en la computadora portátil había pruebas de abuso de menores, y eso vino de los israelíes,” and added that Carlson said a person “vinculado a [el primer ministro israelí Benjamin] Netanyahu” provided the information to a producer.

Political fallout

Newsweek reported Hunter Biden used the Carlson interview to call Donald Trump an "existential threat" and said he believes Trump is central to why a political dysfunction "disease" has spread "from a local epidemic to a pandemic in the USA."

“The one existential threat I think we face as a country is Donald Trump.

In the same Newsweek account, Biden said he still owes between "$4 million and $6 million" to the law firm Winston & Strawn and others, tying his financial situation to legal bills from multiple investigations and criminal cases.

The Singju Post published a transcript dated August 10, 2026, in which Hunter Biden and Tucker Carlson discussed their shared political shift and Biden’s view of Donald Trump, with Biden saying, "I think he’s one of the most transformational individuals in our political history, for ill."

The Singju Post transcript also shows Biden and Carlson discussing their appearances with conservative figures, including Biden saying, "I love Candace," as the interview framed common ground across U.S. political fault lines.
