Kuwait Base Hit

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it destroyed two drone hangars and a fuel storage facility designated for military aircraft and helicopters at the US-operated Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait, as it told Kuwait’s citizens that Tehran’s military actions would persist until the complete eviction of US "occupying and looting forces" from the region.

The IRGC’s claim followed Tehran’s Thursday assertions about a separate retaliatory missile strike on Jordan’s al-Azraq airbase, where the IRGC said it targeted a ramp and maintenance facility and claimed the attack "completely destroyed" three F-35 fighter aircraft and inflicted "heavy damage" on three additional jets.

The United States military disputed the IRGC’s account, with US Central Command (CENTCOM) posting on X that "No US aircraft were destroyed or damaged in recent attempted Iranian attacks."

CENTCOM also dismissed an IRGC claim alleging that the commercial oil tanker M/T Nora had violated the recently reinstated US blockade on Iranian ports, saying "More than 20 US warships, hundreds of aircraft, and thousands of service members remain vigilant" to enforce it.

In parallel, the ANI report said Iran’s escalation included closing the Strait of Hormuz again, after the IRGC stated that two oil tankers attempting to navigate through the strait with US backing turned back after one vessel caught fire.

Satellite Claims vs Denials

The Palestine Chronicle said satellite imagery corroborated Iranian claims that missile and drone strikes damaged US military facilities in Kuwait and Jordan, describing Tehran’s warnings about potential Israeli “false-flag operations” aimed at widening regional conflict.

It asserted that “Satelite imagery confirms impact at Ali Al-Salem Air Base, Kuwait, near 2 Drone hangars IRGC said they targeted this morning,” while also describing additional satellite images at Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base showing multiple impact sites near facilities associated with fighter aircraft operations.

In contrast, the ANI report said the United States military refuted Iranian assertions that a strike destroyed American F-35 fighter jets, maintaining that no US aircraft suffered damage and that its forces preserve operational readiness across the region.

The Express Tribune likewise framed the dispute around CENTCOM’s denial, quoting CENTCOM that "No US aircraft were destroyed or damaged in recent attempted Iranian attacks," while noting that Iranian state media continued to report IRGC claims of damage.

The Express Tribune also reported that CENTCOM did not mention any personnel casualties while dismissing the IRGC’s account of the Jordan strike, even as it described an audio recording it claimed was a radio transmission warning a commercial vessel to “go back to your departure [point] immediately.”

Regional Ripples and Risks

The ANI report said the conflict’s fallout increasingly spilled into neighbouring territories, including Jordan, where the Jordanian military stated it intercepted five Iranian missiles on Thursday morning for the second consecutive day and confirmed no casualties occurred on its soil.

"to determine the circumstances of the incident and to take the necessary measures to preserve Egypt's interests and national security"

ANI NewsANI News

It also said Egypt confirmed that a drone caused Wednesday’s fire at a gas import hub, damaging two vessels, and that Egyptian authorities stated no group had claimed responsibility while an inquiry was underway "to determine the circumstances of the incident and to take the necessary measures to preserve Egypt's interests and national security".

The Express Tribune added that CENTCOM dismissed reports that an oil tanker, the M/T Nora, had breached the US naval blockade, asserting that "more than 20 warships and hundreds of aircraft continue to enforce the "steel wall blockade"."

Beyond the immediate claims of damage, the ANI report described Iran’s stated aim of continued pressure, saying the IRGC statement affirmed Tehran’s military actions would persist until the complete eviction of US "occupying and looting forces" from the region.

With hostilities broadening across the region since US-Israeli strikes on Iran commenced in February, the ANI report said the US military previously announced it had "successfully completed a heavy wave of strikes against Iran," targeting dozens of Revolutionary Guard facilities and military command centres after Donald Trump vowed to hit Iran "hard".
