IRGC threatens UK
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps threatened the “British monarchy” and said UK military installations are legitimate targets for retaliatory strikes after it alleged American B-1 bombers flew from RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire to carry out bombing raids against Iranian territory.
“Any base used to invade Iranian territory is our legitimate target.”
The IRGC’s warning, distributed through the IRGC’s Telegram channel on Thursday, declared: "Any base used to invade Iranian territory is our legitimate target."
GB News reported the UK Government declined to address the claims directly, saying: "For operational security reasons we do not comment on foreign nations' military operations."
The same GB News account said RAF Fairford functions primarily as a forward operating base for the US Air Force in Europe, where American heavy bombers are maintained in readiness for missions across the Middle East and beyond.
GB News also said Sir Keir Starmer granted permission for the base to be used for "defensive" strikes against Iranian forces back in March.
Kuwait strike and warning
WANA News Agency said the IRGC issued Announcement No. 46 reporting a combined retaliatory strike against US forces in Kuwait and issuing a direct warning to the British government.
WANA said the IRGC designated the action as Wave 26 of Operation Nasr-2 under the code “Ya Aba Abdillah Al-Hussein” and dedicated it to Arbaeen pilgrims, launching it in response to an early morning US attack on pilgrims traveling toward Karbala.
During the operation, WANA reported IRGC forces carried out combined attacks against the US military presence at the Al-Udairi base, destroying a specialized US electronic warfare unit, hitting troop quarters and damaging the base’s air traffic control tower.
WANA also stated the announcement concluded with a warning to the British monarchy, describing London as a primary historical source of misfortune in the region with a record that includes the division of Islamic countries and mass killings.
In the same WANA account, the IRGC reiterated that any base used to facilitate aggression against Iranian territory is considered a legitimate target, and it said punitive operations remain ongoing.
B-1 use and legal threats
India Today reported that Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps accused the UK of aiding US strikes and said British facilities were being used to support US military operations after American naval forces exhausted their stockpile of cruise missiles.

India Today quoted the IRGC saying: "Any base used for aggression against Iranian territory is a legitimate target for us," and it added that Iran warned Britain it could be dragged directly into the conflict if it continued supporting US military operations.
India Today said Iran’s Foreign Ministry reinforced the military message by condemning Britain’s reported decision to allow US forces access to military bases and logistical support, calling it an "act of aggression" under Article 3(f) of UN General Assembly Resolution 3314.
The Times of India said US officials, as cited by Axios, reported the US military used a B-1 long-range bomber to strike targets linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps on Tuesday, and it quoted a CENTCOM statement saying: "CENTCOM assets targeted Iranian military operations centers".
The Times of India also said CENTCOM did not disclose the use of the B-1 bomber in its statement issued on Tuesday, while it described the bomber as flying from a US airbase in the United Kingdom and being tracked en route by online flight-monitoring platforms.
