Toll rises under escalation
Lebanon’s Emergency Operations Center at the Lebanese Ministry of Health said the cumulative toll of victims of the Israeli aggression against Lebanon has risen to 4,303 dead and 12,202 injured from the start of the escalation on March 2 until today.
The same statement said the figures cover the period from March 2 to today “in light of the ongoing Israeli military operations on Lebanese territory,” as Lebanon and Israel had signed a framework agreement under American sponsorship.

A separate Lebanese Ministry of Health update cited by Al-Manar TV Lebanon put the toll at 4,324 martyrs and 12,224 injuries since March 2.
Al Jazeera reported that on March 2 Israel intensified its war on Lebanon for a second time in less than two years, responding to Hezbollah firing rockets by re-invading southern Lebanon and striking targets all across the country.
Al Jazeera also said that since then Israel has killed 4,257 people in Lebanon and wounded more than 12,000 more, with more than 1.2 million people displaced at the peak of the attacks.
Agreement disputes and warnings
Al Jazeera said Lebanon’s Minister of Justice, in remarks to the French newspaper Le Monde, affirmed that his country will not accept losing an inch of its land, stressing that the framework agreement clearly provides for a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.
In contrast, Israeli Channel 15 cited sources saying Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked to delay a military operation in the Al Taher area in southern Lebanon at the request of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Al Jazeera reported that politically independent Lebanese MP Melhem Khalaf warned of the danger of reports about the Israeli army establishing crossing gates inside the occupied Lebanese territory, saying this step constitutes a flagrant violation of Lebanese sovereignty.
The National News Agency had reported last Wednesday that the Israeli army had established crossing gates between what is known as the Yellow Zone and the border area and the Litani region.
Al-Manar TV Lebanon said Lebanese Health Ministry updates put the toll at 4,324 martyrs, 12224 injuries, while its correspondent reported two Merkava tanks advancing into Khallat al-Arja on the outskirts of Haddatha town towards Haris town in southern Lebanon.
What comes next for talks
The Lebanese Ministry of Health updates cited by مرسال قطر said the death toll from the Israeli aggression against Lebanon has risen to 4,324 dead and 12,221 injured since March 2, and said this meant two deaths and 11 injuries within 48 hours.
مرسال قطر also said Israel’s aggression against Lebanon continues despite the two countries signing a “framework agreement” under U.S. sponsorship on June 26, and the announcement of a sixth round of negotiations with Beirut in the Italian capital Rome on Tuesday and Wednesday after five previous rounds in Washington, D.C.
Al Jazeera described the framework agreement signed on June 26, 2026 under American auspices as providing for a sequential Israeli withdrawal from the entire Lebanese territory, starting with two unnamed experimental areas, with withdrawal occurring in tandem with the Lebanese army taking full security responsibility.
Al Jazeera reported that Hezbollah rejected the agreement, calling it nonexistent and humiliating, and that Hezbollah supporters organized protests and blocked roads in Beirut.
In the same period, صحیفة سبق الإلكترونية said the framework agreement includes security arrangements and the redeployment of the Lebanese army in the south, along with measures to rebuild affected areas and revive the Lebanese economy, establish direct communication channels, and take confidence-building measures toward achieving lasting peace.
