Strike Hits Gaza City
Israeli bombardment targeted the al-Nasr neighborhood in western Gaza City on Tuesday evening, killing a child and injuring several civilians, some seriously, according to the Palestinian Information Center.
The same outlet said the arrival of the body of a martyred child and a number of injuries was reported at al-Shifa Hospital after Israeli shelling targeted the vicinity of Beholol Station in the neighborhood.

Earlier on Tuesday, Palestinian Information Center said medical sources announced the martyrdom of a Palestinian and injuries to others after Israeli artillery hit a gathering of civilians near Kuwait Roundabout southeast of Gaza City.
It also said the Gaza Health Ministry reported that the death toll from Israeli violations since the start of the ceasefire on Oct. 11 has risen to 832 martyrs and 2,354 injuries, with the recovery of 767 bodies from various areas.
The outlet further stated that the Israeli occupation army continues to violate the ceasefire for the 208th day in a row, through escalating military operations in the Gaza Strip, including shelling and demolition of homes and residential facilities.
Doctors’ Family Annihilated
On Friday, May 23, Dr. Alaa al-Najjar was at work when her home was bombed by an Israeli strike in Khan Younis, south of Gaza, and The Guardian reported that the charred bodies of seven of her children arrived at the hospital where she works as a pediatrician while two others remained under the rubble.
BFM quoted Mohammed Saqer, head of nursing at Nasser Hospital, saying, "This is one of the most heartbreaking tragedies since the start of the conflict," as Dr. Alaa al-Najjar and her husband Hamdi al-Najjar, 40, were among the few doctors still present in Gaza.

BFM also relayed the uncle Ali al-Najjar’s account that, "Upon my arrival, I was in shock. I found my nephew Adam, who had survived, lying on the road under the rubble."
The same BFM report said the Israeli army told AFP that one of its aircraft had "struck several individuals suspected of operating from a structure adjacent to soldiers in this area," and that an Israeli military spokesman said information had been sent to residents asking them to evacuate the city of Khan Younes without specifying when the strike would take place.
BFM added that since the October 7 attack, which killed 1,218 people on the Israeli side, Israel has intensified its bombardments in Gaza, and that more than 53,939 people, mostly civilians, have been killed in the Israeli retaliation campaign, according to data from the Hamas Health Ministry, deemed reliable by the UN.
Ceasefire Under Pressure
tv5monde said Israeli bombardments killed at least 32 people on Saturday in the Gaza Strip, according to local authorities, describing the toll as undermining the ceasefire.
“As he wandered the streets, eagerly handing out his wedding invitations and counting the hours until he could wear his wedding suit, the occupation's missiles claimed his life; the planes did not spare him a day to live his promised wedding day, but assassinated his dream and tore the wedding invitations to mingle with his blood and scatter among the rubble of his vehicle, in a tragedy that sums up the most brutal images of oppression in Gaza”
It reported that 32 dead were found, with "a quarter are children and a third are women," and that others remained trapped under the rubble, as the Gaza Civil Defense said in a statement.
tv5monde also quoted Mahmoud Bassal, spokesperson for the Gaza Civil Defense, saying, "Apartments, tents, shelters and a police station were targeted," as it described strikes in the Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City.
The same report said the Rafah crossing, located on the Egyptian border in the south of Gaza, was set to reopen on Sunday, and that Cairo called on all parties to fully assume their responsibilities at this delicate stage and to avoid any action that could jeopardize the current process.
It added that UN Secretary-General António Guterres said he was deeply concerned by ongoing violations of the ceasefire and urged the parties to respect the decisions of the first phase of the agreement.
