Strikes After Roadmap
Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip over the past two days killed civilians and destroyed essential medical supplies, the Board of Peace’s lead envoy Nickolay Mladenov said Sunday.

Mladenov said the escalation came after “intense efforts” by the Board of Peace and mediators from Egypt, Türkiye, Qatar and the US to secure Palestinian factions’ agreement to a roadmap for the full implementation of US President Donald Trump’s Gaza plan.
Anadolu Ajansı reported that Israeli attacks killed at least 18 Palestinians, including three children and an unborn baby, and wounded several others in a series of attacks on Sunday, with the ceasefire in effect since Oct. 10, 2025.
Haaretz said at least 18 people, including two children, were killed on Sunday in a series of Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip, with “Current section Six strikes” reported across different parts of the Strip early on Sunday.
The Gaza Health Ministry warned that the enclave’s medical system was rapidly approaching collapse after Israeli forces destroyed a drug warehouse at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, amid severe shortages of medicines and medical supplies.

While Anadolu Ajansı framed the roadmap as a step toward de-escalation, it also quoted Mladenov saying, “Two days of strikes across Gaza have killed civilians and destroyed medical supplies that people depend on.”
In Gaza, survivors and union officials told Al Jazeera that the factory exits were welded shut, but in the Gaza ceasefire context the Palestine Chronicle described Israeli forces bombing medication warehouses at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah and said the attacks came just one day after Trump and the Peace Council announced an agreement to implement the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire.
Palestine Chronicle said Gaza’s Health Ministry condemned what it described as “a direct Israeli attack on medication warehouses at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza,” and it reported that two of the facility’s four medical warehouses were completely destroyed while the remaining two sustained extensive damage.
The Palestine Chronicle also cited Gaza’s Health Ministry figures that Israeli violations of the ceasefire since October 2025 have now killed 1,222 Palestinians and injured 4,053 others.
CGTN reported that Hamas approved the latest draft of a roadmap aimed at completing the implementation of the second phase, while major disputes between Hamas and Israel remained unresolved over the sequence of key steps including disarmament, Israel’s military withdrawal and Gaza’s post-war governance.
What Comes Next
The next phase of the ceasefire roadmap hinges on implementation details, with CGTN describing disputes over whether Hamas can transfer weapons only after Israeli forces withdraw, while Israel insists the enclave must be fully demilitarized before any withdrawal.

CGTN reported that Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said the current disarmament plan did not meet Israel’s requirements, emphasizing that Israeli forces would only withdraw after Hamas achieved “genuine disarmament,” and it said troops would not pull back from their current positions along the “yellow line” until Hamas achieved “genuine disarmament.”
Xinhua said Hamas approved the final draft of a roadmap to complete the implementation of the second phase, but analysts cautioned that the agreement’s success hinges on implementation and on differences between Israel and Hamas over weapons, Israel’s withdrawal, and Gaza’s future governance.
Xinhua quoted Ramallah-based political analyst Esmat Mansour saying, “The proposal does not eliminate the fundamental disagreements between the parties,” and that “The most sensitive issues have effectively been postponed to the implementation stage.”
France 24 reported that Israeli strikes continued despite the announced agreement on Hamas disarmament, saying the Gaza Strip was hit on Sunday by Israeli strikes that killed at least nine people according to the Palestinian Civil Defense, and it quoted Eli Cohen saying there was no agreement to end airstrikes in Gaza.
